Yea I don’t think your going to gain a whole lot. I thought you checked all the 1440 results? For me anything below 4K would be a pretty good jump. Not expecting much at 4K. I will gain a lot in multi core obviously as well but not really game related.

You can also compare this with Hardware Unboxed and Jarrod’s Tech reviews which I used to benchmark games that I owned as well.

5600X and 5800X perform almost exactly the same in most reviews in gaming.

You are not bottlenecked by your PC for gaming.

At the rate things are going, you should hold the order and then just sell the 5600X to some rager who can't find one in stock.

I'm partial to the 5900X not because of any gaming performance increase over it. More a scenario where I plan on holding onto this for 2-3 years easily, and ride this AM4 platform into the dustbin. In that case, I'd rather get something that is at or near top of the line at this point and have the extra cores.

I wasn't even thinking about ordering 2, they might have actually let me since they are not one of the bigger joints, they are also one of the last online places that still don't charge me tax. Hell even stinking eBay on second hand goods are charging stinking taxes. Got my PS5 through them as well tax free.

Nvidia, out of stock world wide in under 1 minute from release. To date has only met around 8% of demand 2months after release. AMD out of stock in 15 Minutes world wide, % of demand met unknown.... Seems AMD is on track to be in a class of their own, well above Nvidia's launch. Of course, this is GPU vs CPU.. AMD may fall flat on their face when their GPU is released, or continue to be well above Nvidia when it comes to meeting demand.

AMD has already fallen flat on their face, when you order something that states it is shipping out on the 13th and the next day it becomes 3+ weeks, its no better than Nvidia.
