This upcoming Noctua fan looks really familiar.

But hey, if they manage to eliminate the flaws of the GT, then I'm willing to buy this much uglier copy.

This is for those who does not know what the GT looks like:

They didn't have an update this year. Maybe they axed it.

If they can get the gt to not sound like crap it would be worth the prices that they charge. The bearing noise on the gt always annoyed me.

Looks like they are getting ready to launch this totally original fan with a design that has never been seen before.

This is for those who does not know what the GT looks like:

Zoom in and take a long look at the actual blades, there is a huge difference. Heck all fans look almost alike , it is the subtall changes that you don't always notice such as blade angle, modifications to the blade as seen here.
I speak my mind! if you can't handle that, you might want to leave, because **** is going to get real!!

3 and 4 years to design. They must be holding each others dicks for a very long time.

I tried Noctua fans. They were OK-ish. Not worth the price for sure.

It'll take them 10 years to add RGB to them.

By that time we will be on to something else.

It about time they launch this. They can now continue working their Active Noise Cancelling fan.

It is suspicious how the design is almost identical, down even the to large fan hub. That large hub is basically the hallmark of the GT. More power to Noctua though as I think they could use something to shake up their products (see my lackluster opinion of them below)

Honestly I think Noctua fans are highly overrated. Their high output fans are loud as hell, and fairly loud even at slow settings (a side effect of being tuned for high output, not exactly Noctua's fault), and their lower output fans are quiet but they don't move any air.

I want a fan that can move a good amount of air at a decent noise level when needed, which I can then turn down with fan control when it's not needed. I suppose for someone who just wants dumb fans that always run at the same speed then Noctua might be fine, albeit still $5-$10 more per fan than competitors that offer comparable performance and better aesthetics.

Is there any high output fan that is loud? Are you talking about their dust resistant fans?

Their PPC3000 RPM fan or whatever. One of the worst fans I've ever used/heard. At full blast you couldn't even be in the same room with it. But it was tuned so far towards output you couldn't really turn it down enough that it would be quiet (30% was still around 1000 RPM).

The fan did what it was designed to do, but it was terrible. I don't know why anyone in their right mind would buy one of them!

As far as quiet high output fans, the only fan I've really been impressed with is the Corsair ML series. I have two in push/pull on my VR computer's GPU radiator. They're still pretty loud at full blast, but the noise they produce relative to the amount of air being moved is decent. And you can turn them down to the point where they're silent from more than 3 feet away. They're also expensive though and arguably not really worth it except in a situation where you need that much power.

Looks like they are finally ready to start selling the black version, it kind of feels like going for the phanteks t30 is the better choice now though, unless 120x25mm is all that you can fit in your build.

If you can fit the extra thickness of the T30, then go for the T30.

If you can't fit the T30, the A12x25 is the best fan on the market.

I think the T30 really surprised Noctua and made them rush the black version out. This **** should have been released a year ago.

I was going to get 7 of them but my front 3 are in a cage that won't allow for a bigger fan.

I'll report back on how they work on the top rad. My hope is that they are a little better than the gentle typhoons that are there now.

I almost bought 12 last month, but then I figured that a 2tb gen4 nvme drive would be a better buy.

The drive was also cheaper than the fans.

Did a little out of the case fan fun. Basically, I was looking to see if they all worked. They did. The fans have 3 modes that they use. Hybrid, performance, and advanced. I'm not going to do hybrid because I have software that runs my fans. So, I totally disregarded that mode. Performance mode sets the max fan speed at 2000 RPM. Advanced allows for 3000 RPM.

These fans move a lot of air and does so pretty quietly. Way more air movement than my gentle typhoons and a little more quietly.

I think I'll keep them in the 2000RPM 'Performance' setting because I like the sound levels that they have and the airflow. It's a good balance.

I think I'll be putting these in when I put my active backplate on my 3090.

30 bucks for a fan. They better move a lot of air and blow you also.
