I should also mention the main reason for me to get the G1 over the C1 is the EVO panel (now called EX). The new LG OLED panels uses blue OLED material based on deuterium that both increases brightness and longevity.AMD Ryzen 9 7950X - Asus X670E Crosshair Extreme - 32GB Corsair Dominator DDR5 6200 - MSI GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming Trio - 1TB Sabrent Rocket 4.0 NVMe SSD - Three 8TB Sabrent Rocket Q NVMe SSDs in 24TB RAID-0 - Corsair 7000X case - Corsair H170i Elite cooler - Corsair AX1600i power supply - Razer Blackwidow V3 Pro keyboard - Logitech G Pro Wireless mouse - 77" LG G1 OLED display - Denon AVR-X3500H receiver - Klipsch 5.2.2 Reference Premier speakers with Martin Logan 800X subs

I'm currently in the market for a case. That isn't enough internal rad space for me though.
There's a guy who bought all of Caselabs old IP and is attempting to revive their old designs with modern updates (like front IO usb-c etc). He's expecting to be ready for production end of this year if nothing else goes wrong.
Guess I'm waiting for that..
Looks really good though, which is why I asked. I've been really craving something with a horizontal mobo mount, aka Caselabs style or Thermalfake X9 Snow Edition. Can't find them anymore though.Originally posted by curioEat this protein bar, for it is of my body. And drink this creatine shake, for it is my blood.

What you are running? Frankly most folks cram more rads in their case than they should and end up getting same or worse performance than if they didn't. For most folks, I find anything past 2x 360 rather unnecessary. I have about 5 builds running atm. The most surface area I have in one case is 2x480 and my delta there is less than 5 with a 32 core TR. and a 3090 running on 500wat bios.Under construction

Currently 2 Heatkiller 360-L in an 011D XL. Case is horrendous limiting the airflow with the stupid grille design. With the next gen GPUs likely pulling 600w+, and a hotter CPU (possibly grabbing ADL-X, if not Raptor Lake) .. 2x360 isn't going to cut it anymore. My loop is already struggling with a 3080TI STRIX + 12700K with a conservative OC at 4K. GPU capped at 2010 @ 0.937mv. at 4K though, I'm hitting 450watt pretty much all the time though.
I'm hitting 37c water temps in a 24c ambient, with the A12x25 getting up to about 1500rpm once the waterT is up there.13c delta is great overall, but I want to drive that down to around 8c. Another 360, or hopefully a case that allows 2x420/480 will fix that up for me.
I do push the hardware pretty hard so these are the problems that arise. The Cooler master HAF 700 Evo is insane and I love it, but for $650 I want a horizontal mobo mount.. for that price I refuse to compromise. I'd be better off paying MountainMods to custom design me an all-aluminum chassis and just throw another $300 at it.
I agree with you on people going with too much rads and not setting the airflow up correctly. I can assure you that's not the issue here though. Everything is set up as optimally as can be to maximize WaterT delta. I think the case is part of my issue.. I could test it to prove that, but the 011D grilles being restrictive is a well known issue.Originally posted by curioEat this protein bar, for it is of my body. I mean the glass box argument doesn't really matter much when I'm running the rads as intake. They're taking in the coldest air possible. The poor grille design makes me have to bump the fans up higher to counter the needlessly higher static pressure, but that's really it. I have a single exhaust fan that draws the air out, plus the natural exhaust due to the positive pressure in the case through the PCIE slots, etc.
I need more rad surface area and I'm kind of capped out with the 011D XL. I don't want to have all my intake air from the rads (I could still add one more rad, but it wouldn't perform very well imo) since I need memory temps to stay under 45c, and if all the air pumped into the case is warmed from the rads then I'll end up heating the memory up.
The case isn't bad at all, but for what I'm doing it's just not cutting it. In my last house, the basement ambient was 17-18c, so it hid some of my problems. The air being pulled through the rads was so cool my waterT never really went above 30-31c which was very optimal.Originally posted by curioEat this protein bar, for it is of my body. We'll see. What ever case I end up moving to will likely get this loop transplanted until I know what case I'm buying and what size rads I can put within the loop.
With the upcoming GPUs looking to be even more power-hungry though, I just don't see 2x360 handling the next gen cards with maxed power limits, not even the thiccboi 60mm+ rads. It's fairly agreed on that 1mm surface area per 1watt of power, and with a 450watt GPU + 100w CPU (during gaming), I'm not that far off for the low WaterT delta I'm chasing.
I do agree though, bigger case will help me. I'm really hoping this CaseLabs revival works out, because they have the horizontal mount case I want. I just refuse to pay these crazy prices to buy one used and then have to design and build my own front-IO panel to modernize it.Originally posted by curioEat this protein bar, for it is of my body. Using Corsair 7000D (Air version). Has tons of space that I am never going to use. Upgraded from a 5000D (even that was sufficient for my use, but got a great price for it).
Build quality is better than the 5000, much better than the 680X that I had before. It is a bit on the pricier side though.

The XL isn't very XL, the case is just too small for anything really. I don't like working in mine and I am currently looking at maybe getting something new.
I like the entire front glass panel and the side panel, just need to browse more.Intel Core i9 10900K @ 5.2GHz, Asus Maximus XII Apex, GSkill Trident-Z Royal DDR4 3200MHz 32GB CAS11, Asus Strix 3080Ti OC, Creative Labs SXFI Theater, Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB, Corsair AXI 1500i PSU, ThermalTake View 71, Corsair K95 Platinum RGB, Corsair Dark Core RGB SE, Acer Predator X34, Windows 10 Professional X64

I thought it had good space until I went with a custom loop. For air cooling, there's plenty of room in there. With the res and rads though.. not so much. Case shrunk tremendously lolOriginally posted by curioEat this protein bar, for it is of my body. And drink this creatine shake, for it is my blood.

Haven't had any dramas with either water or air in it. Air flow is great, intake from bottom and side, exhaust at the top. There are a couple of reasons why I dislike the O11D XL:
1.) The USB-C front port is not 10Gbps. I use an Asus Arion with a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB in it and I can get nowhere near the speed of the drive due to the fact that USB-C port on the front is pretty much trash. I purchased a 6ft USB-C Super Speed cable to run to the port on the IO of the motherboard and can max out the speed without issue.
2.) The length of PSU supported is incorrect. I contacted LianLi on this after purchasing the case based on what they originally spec'd on chassiss support for PSU's. The AX1500i should've fit but it didn't I had to cut a portion of the chassiss out for it to work. LianLi has since changed the supported PSU length without contanct.
3.) With the case being lists as XL meaning extra large would indicate that it would have ample room to work in for both aircooling and liquid cooling, but its not. I've worked in mid-tower cases that had more room to work with then the XL.
4.) Cable managing is a pain. Even with using LianLi UNI fans I still have a rats nest of cables in the chassiss that are hard to hide. Especcially when you have to use a fan hub or two. Depending on how many components, fans, hubs etc I would recommend looking at something larger.Last edited by Hapatingjaky; May 7, 2022, 08:27 AM.Intel Core i9 10900K @ 5.2GHz, Asus Maximus XII Apex, GSkill Trident-Z Royal DDR4 3200MHz 32GB CAS11, Asus Strix 3080Ti OC, Creative Labs SXFI Theater, Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB, Corsair AXI 1500i PSU, ThermalTake View 71, Corsair K95 Platinum RGB, Corsair Dark Core RGB SE, Acer Predator X34, Windows 10 Professional X64

KAC I'm kinda surprised to see you running 7 exhaust fans to 3 intake. Doesn't make much sense for the air flow?
Is the top rad an intake? It looks like exhaust but it's a little hard to be sure.
I'd flip the side fans to intake at a minimum if you don't want to make the AIO an intake.Originally posted by curioEat this protein bar, for it is of my body. And drink this creatine shake, for it is my blood.
