Okay, I finally got around to doing some cable management you guys were crying about.

I don't know what to do about the keyboard and mouse cables though. Those might just always be a problem.

You could bundle em together in some type of sleeve's/tube's, just so it's more slick. Or you could cut open a little drop hole that is covered with some type of cover.

JayzTwoCents proposed a solution using your chassis' PCI-E slot dummy brackets and stacking them like shims. Maybe something you might want to try:

I remember seeing that. I do have a metric ton of them from various builds so it would be easily done.

I'm tempted to punch a hole in the middle of the desk and go that route. It's a relatively cheap Ikea tabletop (Linnmon or whatever that I've had around for a few years), so no risk of ruining the desk is low at least.

Hole is cleanest way if you don't care about the desktop that much. Just be sure to put a grommet in so you don't wear the cables.

Oh good call on using a grommet. That and I need to figure out a circle bit to use that won't chew up the surface too badly.

A hole saw is the best thing to use, and then you'll be able to use a standard size grommet too. I just used a standard "big" drill bit on my desk to mount my monitor arm though, and didn't have any issues. My desk is a veneer on top of either pressboard or plywood.

Tape the area your cutting out and score the cut first to help prevent any tearing or roughness when you do the drilling/sawing.

The cables from the computer are bundled together with some slack. That allows me to raise and lower the desk as needed.

Still need to hang the 5 pieces of sound absorption panels sitting next to the closet. Not sure where the best spots for them are quite yet.

Had to update to the latest bios and now it's working fine. Another thing to notice is that a lot of components were not recognized by Windows, had to use the utility that came with the MB.

I will format it this weekend for a clean start!

I will change the orientation of the video card power cables, but thats it, dont know how to improve the cable management. This case is huge, and the cables are not long enough
