If I get the EVGA XC3 and later I can get an Asus TUF you'll be the first person I contact to sell the EVGA to.

Decided to move my system into a new case while I wait for a new CPU, GPU and Mobo to come around. Crammed 3, 360mm X 56mm rads into an 011D XL.

Who said you need hard lines and RGB? haha.

011D XL with sound deadening foam on every surface that's not visible. Also added 1mm felt to all the contact surfaces to reduce any harmonics or rattles. Honestly, the build quality on this case is freaking atrocious. When I got it nearly every panel would rattle when tapped on. Also the drive bays were super rattley too. Just a case from a company that I thought was known for great build quality. Doesn't seem to be the case here though. At least now it is dead silent at idle and extremely quiet under high load.

The tube is looped in the back because I have an inline water filter stuffed there to catch any debris I might have missed with flushing the radiators. The extra line is so it can be trimmed to fit when the filter is removed.

Really? My case has no rattles and had zero defects at all out of the box.

I have no clue how you fit a 56mm rad on the side looks badass man!

Do you have the XL? From my research it seems the XL was built on a friday after 5PM.

This might help you a bit with fitting radiators. It's tight to say the least.

yeah, I have the XL in Silver. The only part that seems loose/rattle-y is the drive-bay covers in the back, but since I removed the hot-swap bays and don't ever touch the covers, I can't say it bothered me much.

That's really nice work fitting the rad. How's the performance? I see you have the top rad as an exhaust with the side and bottom as intake. Have you considered the top as an intake as well?

I'm thinking about going with a triple-rad setup like yours using the Alphacool UT60 on the top and bottom, and a slimmer rad on the side. I just feel like it's wasted space by putting case-fans there instead of jamming a third rad in

Well, lets see here. The side glass panel rattled, the drive bays rattled, the covers for them rattled, the PCIE slot covers rattled... Probably missing a few but that was the major ones. Another thing is the fan grills are a horrible design and induce a ton of noise and turbulence if you mount the fans flush to them. I 3D printed a spacer for the rear 120mm fan to move it 10mm away from the grills, and that also allowed it to use the whole grill area for air flow. Reduced the noise substantially.

Performance is as expected, I see about 10-15C water temps over ambient. I can push it lower at the expense of fan noise, but no point.

The fan orientation I opted for gives me the best airflow with as little restriction. Having the side radiator as an intake allows the two large vents on the side panel to be utilized as the dust filters are rather restrictive. Using the top as the exhaust allows that one to not require any dust filter. The bottom as intake has a well designed high flowing dust filter too with little restriction.

Right now it's at a bit of positive pressure so if I had another 3 intake fans I think that would further reduce my airflow as the fans are all fighting against each other as the air has nowhere to go. These fans can move a TON of air if needed and have a really high static pressure too.

Yeah.... Because spending 30 minutes tops once a year to flush the loop is so hard.

As I said it is too expensive for me. I am just not willing to do it. I value my computer but not THAT much.
30 minutes to flush might be 2 hours for a nub like me? What do I know?
Also it is a bitch to sell water cooled hardware locally.

Many reasons for my environment. I still haven't sold the 980 Ti classified water block I bought for about 250 bucks (including backplate).

Sure it's expensive. I can agree with that 100%, because, it is. But silence and cool temps have gotta be worth something, right? lol But in no way is it a maintenance nightmare or a pain.

I 3D printed the fan shrouds. They reduce fan noise by spacing the fans away from the radiator fins. Also wanted to see how it looks. I had one for the top fans but I need to redesign it as it hit the motherboard a bit.

The one for the 120mm fan spaces the fan 10mm away from the case fan grill because they are a horrible design and induce a TON of fan noise. Also allows the fan to take advantage of the whole opening area instead of just the 120mm that the fan would normally have. Further reducing noise.

The tubing is just some EK epdm tubing on some normal barbs with koolance spring clamps. Bunch of overpriced **** there that I could have done cheaper, but lazy and decided to order from the same place.

That's a nice build in a tight space.

I want to try that out.

Reason I ask is, have an AM4 water block here that can only be mounted one way that lends itself to parallel tubing. Are temps just as good?

The temps are close enough to when it was serial that I can't tell the difference. Obviously it will depend a bit on the gpu and cpu block since water takes the path of least resistance. You want to keep them pretty similar in flow restrictions.

I think your definition of quiet is a little bit different than others.

Plus, we are talking about a fan directly against the poorly designed fan grills of the O11 XL. It doesn't help much on the radiators since the fans are already 5-10mm spaced away from the fins, but there is still a slight noise reduction from using a spacer.

                                                                                Comment

I am extremely sensitive to noise and keep my case sound free. It is also the reason why I go through so many AIB air cooled cards to find the balance between quiet and clocks.

Don’t know about the XL though so might be there are some sound issues there. Don’t think any rad requires specific spacers but rather rubberized fan edges which is something I have been using for ages it seems with all new fans to avoid rattling noises.

Noctua is actually great at manufacturing fans that don’t rattle.
