Thermaltake Kandalf making a BIG comeback!

I have been so impressed with my View 51 AMD system that I decided to make my Intel Vengeance system AIR COOLED as well. I ordered the A500 Corsair cooler, but it ended up being too large for my Vengeance case. So, rather than returning it, I started..... piece by piece, putting high-end internals from the Vengeance build into the Kandalf Tower..

For whatever reason, the pieces just work this time around and the build looks incredible! thus far. The cougar black and gold power supply and the black and goldish a500 air cooler look great. Basically a black and gold theme with red internal lighting.

The only things left are a usb 3.0 and audio front panel, a new modern power button for the case, a sith ultra slim fan for exhaust, and, of course, an RTX 3080.

Once this i9 9900k 32gig memory RTX 3080 system is complete, it will be lay waste to any system pictured prior to this post.

I will post pics from a new hi-res camera once complete.

I bought the Lerberg trestle legs. They're great. Was planning on mounting the leg to the table, but now that the legs have settled into the carpet, there's no wiggle.

I tweeted him with a pic of the rig. I said the card under the hybrid cooler was a 2080TI FTW3 Ultra, and if he could help me replace it with a 3080/3090 FTW3 Ultra. He didn't respond

Oh yeah. Even with the dust filter underneath, you're just asking for your PC to be a very expensive vacuum without putting some space between the carpet and the fans. I actually found this piece of Maple at Lowe's that was the perfect (down to cm) width for the case! I need to borrow my buddies saw so I can cut the length down to match the case, but for now, it works perfect.

I do the same with mine. Got carpeting in my finished basement too so I cut a piece of wood shelving to size and put my PC on it. Not just better for the dust build up, but I feel it also provides a small bit more clearance underneath for more airflow.

Here's the amazing part.. I paid above MSRP, but less than some used 2080TIs are currently selling for. Almost nabbed a Ventus at retail from Best Buy the day before, but it was taken out of my cart as I was checking out. (Like Pony better anyway)
