Nice set up Adam, looks very immersive (and comfortable). How's the 10900k treating you? Tried to OC?

The only setting I have right now is all turbo +1 multiplier. This adds 100MHz to each turbo multiplier. Very small bump with no added voltage. This gets me 5GHz all cores with the new thermal velocity turbo active. Memory at 3933MHz 16-18-18 and ring frequency at 4.6GHz. It's completely stable and runs cooler than my 9900K at the same speed.

I have no plans to chance anything else anytime soon as my systems are both spectacular IMO, however, any future build will like be a retro revival of my old Thermaltake Kandalf with the snazzy front that someone said looked like a Soviet vacuum cleaner. That will be a ways off . System changes below.

Greetings all, I have thus far weathered the coronavirus pandemic and crazy rioting and unrest. As a diversion to stay sane and entertain you all, I have decided the time is now for the Thermaltake Kandalf resurrection!

Most Thermaltake Kandalf videos & pics online are really old, and so is the stuff in them. I think this will be the first near MINT Thermaltake Kandalf Hal looking case with modern hardware in it. Tech has advanced so much now that this previously outdated tower is going to look awesome, IMO. Don't really need cable management with sleek modular power supplies & sata and m.2 drives, and some air coolers are better than liquid AIO now.

This will feature the Aorus x570 motherboard & Radeon VII from the Corsair Vengeance, a new Ryzen 7 3700x processor, a Dark Rock Pro 4 AIR COOLER , new snazzy blue ring Thermaltake fans, and an elongated Rosewill Hercules 16000 WATT Power Supply.

Hope all of you are well in these crazy times. I will post pics of this historic build upon completion.

Additional update with interesting snippit of information..

All Galvbertratron components are now in the Corsair Vengeance. Moving the i9 9900k and RTX 2080 from the Tristellar to the Corsair Vengeance dropped Both CPU & GPU temps by at least 20 degrees! Min-Max CPU 43 - 74 now 30 - 54 ….. GPU 51-89 now 40 - 61.

All previous Corsair components have been cleaned, boxed and are ready for the Kandalf build once additional components arrive. Former Deepcool Galvbertratron is now a display piece.

Pics of the new-look Corsair (only need to add a RED MAGNATIZED Corsair fan now) & the Thermaltake Kandalf will be forthcoming upon completion of both builds.

Just put my main desktop guts in a new case (Lian-Li O11-Dynamic, the same one Demo has, only in white); it's sweet-looking and has a ****-ton of airflow/cooling options. However, unlike Demo, I'm remaining with air cooling only with this; three intake fans at the right-side front and two exhaust fans at the mid-to-rear top does the job.

UPDATE: I am posting from the new Thermaltake Kandalf system right now, & I don't even have words for this monstrosity I've created! Between the tower & the Hercules power supply it weighs a ton!

Unfortunately, the Radeon VII intended for the system was bricked in a severe thunderstrom power surge. (even w/ surge protection) The equivalent XFX RX 5700XT triple dissipation replacement should be here shortly & thankfully was a lot cheaper than the original Radeon VII. Will post pics upon completion with the proper video card installed!

Had to mix & match as the AMD cards would NOT work with the 16000 watt power supply. Regardless, I am pleased with the results.

The downside to the C9 and CX. No anti-glare which makes it bad for bright room viewing. That and a host of other problems.

Yes bright room is definitely a problem during morning time. This room has direct light. Will change some tv settings and see how I can get better colors etc.

For those of you who are jealous of my leadership & 16000 watt power supply, you'll be happy to know I had to switch it out for my old reliable EVGA last night. The cords were getting very hot and there was a ton of coil whine on the RTX 2080. Switched out & back to normal. It was probably the DUMBEST purchase I've ever made. I think it may have fried my VII as well. (several documented cases of VII failures and code 43s w/ very high wattage supplies.

Looks pretty much the same but a bit cleaner & black connectors. The purpose of the Thermaltake build was to make it look like an actual car engine was in the case & I think I have succeeded.


Edit: Interesting to note.. For whatever reason, my RTX 2080 runs better on the Ryzen 7 3700x than the i9 9900k, and the RX 5700 XT Triple Dissipation runs better on the i9 9900k than either the RTX 2080 did or the VII ran on the Ryzen 5 3600.

erhm... with HDR shouldn't both the contrast and OLED light be at 100? The rest is probably just the camera.
