I built myself a Retropie using a Raspberry Pi 3 and a $25 NES case for it. All together (not including the controller) I spent about $80. Much better value than the NES or SNES mini. They also make SNES cases for the PI 3 too. There are multiple themes you can download and you can even download video previews and box art for all your games.

You set the upscale resolution. Yes you can run it at 1080p

Image quality and sound are pretty much identical to the original systems but better since it's digital (over hdmi) instead of using coax or video out.

A lot of the software clones aren't 100% accurate with the colors and audio. For $80 though, I'm interested in trying this. Would be a fun project at the very least.

I'm tempted to get one of these now myself.

Just dont buy this one look for one that actually has the nes color scheme and looks. Same for SNES version looks for one that actually has the snes color scheme for your region.

Also since this is retropie (libretro with emulation station as the front end) you can also use shaders to add the crt effect and shizz to make it look spiffy.

Wait until you see my ryzen board...… Waiting on to buy my ram... Fore warning though... can't do a new case yet, so i'm still gonna use my 750D for now.
