Thinking about changing my pumps to something more powerful (one of them struggles to start in the more restrictive blue loop), and adding another 120 or 240 rad down the bottom for the GPU loop.
Starting to think the EK supremacy EVO CPU block ain't that great either..
It's more restrictive than the other loop with no issues. I actually bought 3 pumps in case of failure, and even after swapping it out it behaves the same. I think I've bled it correctly but perhaps there's still air in the rad? I've tilted it every which way and no bubbles are coming out. These are only the SPC-60 pumps btw.
I can't compete with some of what you guys have done, but here's some pictures of my Ryzen build. The story behind this is I bought a Corsair Spec Alpha case basically for looks. Yellow is my favorite color and I thought the case looked pretty cool.
Unfortunately, the truth is it's a stupidly designed case. There's no reason it couldn't be a lot better, there were just a lot of really dumb choices in how things were setup. For one thing, there's barely any room for cables behind the motherboard. It may not look like it in the picture, but all of the cables are actually out of the main case area. There's just so little room that I couldn't manage to completely hide them from view. As it was, I barely managed to get that side of the case to close.
It's totally form over function, but hey I liked the look, so I went with it! (After all looks are what matter, right? And anything else can be fixed with a dremel and some drilling!)
I specifically decided to make this an "old school" build. No radiators, just as much metal as you can throw at the problem! So, of course, I went with a Thermalright Le Grand Macho, which I think is the biggest heatsink ever made!
On top of that I made some modifications to the case. I cut out the fan grating on the top and placed two slim 120mm fans there. Slim fans were the only thing that would fit once I placed the Le Grand Macho into the case!
This is another area where the case was badly designed: they didn't leave enough room between the top of the board and the top of the case. Even if I were using an AIO the radiator would have to stupidly hang over the board.
I also cut out a new fan hole in the bottom. Oh, and I attached a slim Blu-ray drive to the bottom so I could still watch Netflix movies on my PC.
For lighting, I tried to go the "less is more" route, with just two Thermaltake Riing fans, and the LED lighting on the board. I'm using Argus Monitor for fan control, and with the size of Le Grand Macho, I can pretty much run with passive cooling at idle or low load, but I keep the HSF at 40% just so it stays lit up.
Overall I think it looks pretty cool. In terms of functionality the case is very clunky, but after modification it runs cool and quiet. And either way, it's a big step up from my old case.
Even though you never have anything positive to say to me (like ehem Mangler) I must admit I think you're right about my GPU loop. This loop cools it fine but it's far from silent. I'll add a 360 rad to the loop but only passive.

Does it actually struggle to spin or is it just a delayed start?
It might just be intended behavior for the spc in a loop with some restriction.
AFAIK the spc is supposed to be as strong as a 7w DDC, just more cheaply made, so it should not have any problems with a loop consisting of a block, a 360 rad, and a bunch of 90 degree angles.

Dual 360 radiators just seems so much sexier.
Not sure where I would put the second 360 radiator in that case. Bottom vent is the only good spot; but they would have to be an intake fans, which could mess with your CPU temps.

It struggles to spin. The first pump eventually failed to start at all, and this replacement is showing the same issues - kind of a slow start, stop, start, stop, until it gets going. Once it gets going it's fine, but now I'm too scared to turn it off. I knew these pumps were weak as piss, but with 2 small loops I thought they'd be more than enough. Thinking of swapping to the 18w DDC. Can't seem to find D5 in the form factor I want. Thought perhaps there's still air in the rad but no matter what I do I can't seem to get any more bubbles out.
And I was just stirring you up about 'negative comments'

Honestly the single 120 works well enough but I did add a 2nd fan in push pull, so while it's still quieter than an AIO unit, it's certainly not subtle.. I'm hoping a passive 360 rad in addition to the 120 will be enough to supplement it without dumping too much heat into the case - still keeping the 120 as primary exhaust for GPU heat. If not I'll throw some fans on the 360 and call it a day.
On another note, I've read other users experiences with similar CPU set ups (EK supremacy, 8700k, 360 rad) and it looks like I'm in the ball park for temps, which are a little disappointing. I'm of the opinion once you hit certain voltage levels it's difficult to effectively draw the heat away from this little 14nm 6 core furnace. If I drop voltage by only .05v it shaves a good 10c off!

Yeah, like I said, the case is pretty idiotic. There's literally no space at the top of the motherboard. I was trying to get as much fan power at the top as possible, so I got one 140mm slim fan to put in the middle, but then above the heatsink only a 120mm would fit because the motherboard's mosfet heatsinks block anything larger there.
Also what's not shown is that the top cover for the case has a diagonal cut, with half of it being solid plastic, and half having an open vent. And, of course, the open side is the side that the motherboard is on, rather than the far side, making fan placement even more challenging. So, I was trying to get the 140mm in as far as possible so that half of it wasn't just blowing against a solid case top.
The thing that annoys me about the case so much is that all they had to do was add an extra 1 to 1.5 inches to the top and all of these problems would be solved! But then again it gave me an excuse to put my old school modding skills to use, so I guess there's some silver lining to it.
I don't have any real complaints though. I could have definitely made it easier on myself by getting a more versatile/better designed case, but I decided to go with this one even knowing it had issues.
At least that case seems to have good front airflow. So many cases now dont Im thinking I might grab 2 fans or the rad on the bottom to push air in. I modded the TT C21 snow ed to get more front airflow but the result is ... well not very aesthetic...
Ill see about putting up picts but the rgb isnt done tho Im thinking of forgetting about it as I need to buy a new strip of 5 pin leds as the mobo only supports that... as it is I only have mobo leds giving some light inside and I tend to like static lighting anyway...
Looking at the new Fractal Design R6 white version as its getting good reviews. But front airflow again only works with the panel off and you dont have dust filtering...
I dont get why they cant seem to have more choice in cases with good front airflow with decent dust filters. The few out there are fugly.

D5 all the way. DDCS aren't bad just can be noisy. You don't have the best case for airflow. I've done a build in a 303. I put a 360 on the bottom and a 360 on the top. This case can definitely fit 2 d5s and 2 reservoirs. If you want a very quiet system under prolonged load than this isn't the best case choice. Seeing you have a single gpu you should be able to fit a 360 at the bottom without problems. Something like a 100-140m res direct attached to a d5 would work. Either bitspower or EK revo line would have an option like that. Singularity comptuers protium line up would work as well with their pump tops, their stuff is a bit pricey but worth it.
Never ending here. Long story short asus fan control sucks balls outside of bios controls which aren't adequate for wc loops that are more prone to heat build up. Had to get the aqauero in there. Mounted to a pci cover ugh. Sadly the psu is 1inch too long so I couldn't fit it between the pump and psu. Once I get the heatkiller vrm, and cpu blocks I can put the stupid glass on.
Just a little sag. Another reason liquid cooling is the way to go on high power cards.
I had to remove the side of my panel and get down to eye level with the card then look for very specific points to compare one side to the other. There is hardly any sag at all.

At least you've alerted him to the tiny amount of sag it does have that way he can keep an eye on it.

I finally retired my Corsair 750D. I've been wanting a full tower tempered glass case for awhile soI picked up a Thermaltake View 71 on Black Friday. They had them that day for $119.99. This thing is massive inside. It's got a couple small quirks, but over all build quality is very nice and the tempered glass looks amazing in person. It also has vertical mounting options for everything. I'll try and get some outside pics tomorrow...
Look forward to seeing that R6 build. Seems like a solid case based on reviews.
Yes... it has been praised... only negative thing is the missing RGB but you can easily work around that. I'm just tossing up between the blackout or the gun metal grey version. Gun metal would match my Swift but that would mean I'd have to wait a little longer for it.

My final foray into the evolv and threadripper in general. Combined to 1 serial loop with the addition of sli being back in this case. Also installed the monoblock upgrade kit which helps but still meh compared to other TR blocks.
HEDT + Sli + mid atx case never again lol.
