Rage3D Discussion Area
Maybe at times, but certainly there must be a pretty big jump in frame rate in most titles.
The real issue with SLI is alternate frame rendering. It can increase the number of frames and smoothness of the image, but can't reduce the latency inherent in the time it takes the gpu to make the frame. Not a problem for 3D, if one GPU basically ends up making a frame for one eye and the other for the other eye, but it is hard for me to see the added value for standard screens.
Hopefully split frame rendering will become a real thing soon.

Got to wonder if your CPU is bottlenecking those GPUs.
I had not updated my info on this site yet because I just finished the build. My specs have been updated.
Intel I7 6700K
Asus Maximus Viii Mobo Z170 Chipset
32GB Corsair 2666 DDR4
512GB Samsung 950 Pro M.2 boot Drive
2X EVGA 980GTX TI Superclock
Silverstone 1500w Stider Power supply
Case is a Thermaltake Suppressor F51.
It has a total of 13 fans.
1X 200mm
5X 140mm
2X 120mm
4X 100mm
All running slow and silent. CPU is about 26C at idle and 55-60C under load. I am using the Corsair 110i GTX water cooler.
GPU's are 30-35C at idle and 65-75C under load using EVGA's 2.0 custom coolers with backplate on air.
The CPU can go to 4.8Ghz but it forces me to up the fans which I don't want to do because I focused on silent opperation this time. I can push 4.6Ghz without upsetting my fan speeds and noise levels which are both really low. The noise suppression on this case does a good job but I had to remove it on the top of the case to make room for the radiator.
Meteor Of War, thanks for flipping the pic for me.

How old is yours? The one I acquired was built in late 2009.
Bought the case early last year. It really has aged, a lot of the plastic latch and locks broke and the result is most of the panels don't fit very well anymore I don't find any newer case that looks as good as this.

Thanks for the fixed my picture! And yeah, I know...but really...I don't care about that GPU part. It's already old and still working for many years anyway.

Treeck, I believe your heatsink should be oriented differently...

BTW is there a fix for this, apart from propping something underneath a corner of the card?
Got a GTX 680 with a bad DVI-I port that I RMA'd, and EVGA sent me a GTX 770 with the craptacular ACX cooler to replace it. The replacement had a bad DVI-D port (I honestly have no idea what is up with me and DVI ports)... so I sent it back and requested a blower-style since the 770 sagged like a sumbitch. Problem is, EVGA apparently doesn't stock reference/blower cards for RMA purposes because the ACX cards are da bomb and I've just imagined all those pics I've seen on teh intarwebs where the video card hangs low on one end.
Took them three days to get back to me and offer a 960 as a new replacement. Seriously? A 960?
Not really happy with EVGA at the moment. Also, it looks like I'm stuck with a 770 ACX now unless I want to downgrade.
just ignore the smoke and smile.

What, that's weird... I could install my Cooler Master Hyper 212 any way I wanted it...
Edit; well I'll be damned you're right, AMD can only install on one side Yes, let's take the GPU heat and shove them right on the CPU heatsink

That's why I had to install the two fans up on the top case since I wanted to make the HSF cooler flow forward up through the top case. It's not a big deal anyway. Yes, I know it looks weird, but whatever.

My case is very clean. I took a leaf blower 550 watts to it.
As you can see it is spic and span. I need to work on wiring but given the current temperatures, I don't see the need to.
My first proper case, NZXT Phantom 240. My 240mm rads finally have a good home. The case is pretty good overall.

KACs PC hasn't been thrown out. His setup is a work in progress. Here is a pic of his setup I took when I broke into his house to sniff his mrs undies. I caught a glimpse of this when I realized my OCD kicked in due to the third background image.
Old ladys/Plex server needed some updates. I must say, after my NZXT H440 case, and now this 340. It's going to be a hard time NOT to convince me to not buy a NZXT case next round.
