I think you're too use to the 290s. The Titan X cards will be just fine. If it makes you bitch about it, then all the more fun for me. lol

You're now using cards that pretty much use the same amount of power as mine do, and I couldn't run them on air for more than a couple of minutes before the temperatures entered the 90*C zone, and you think you will?
Tell you what....I'll keep playing for hours, overclock my cards at will and never see them hit 50*C, while you just keep worrying about not melting yours after a few minutes, never mind overclocking them.
Get some water on those things ASAP....

My Titans were fine in 4-Way and so will be my new Titan X cards. It's not the doom and gloom you would like to make it out to be. The stock cooler is very good.
Besides, you don't have four working 290s.AMD Ryzen 9 7950X - Asus X670E Crosshair Extreme - 32GB Corsair Dominator DDR5 6200 - MSI GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming Trio - 1TB Sabrent Rocket 4.0 NVMe SSD - Three 8TB Sabrent Rocket Q NVMe SSDs in 24TB RAID-0 - Corsair 7000X case - Corsair H170i Elite cooler - Corsair AX1600i power supply - Razer Blackwidow V3 Pro keyboard - Logitech G Pro Wireless mouse - 77" LG G1 OLED display - Denon AVR-X3500H receiver - Klipsch 5.2.2 Reference Premier speakers with Martin Logan 800X subs

He's got 4000$ in video cards, so adding another 1000$ between blocks a nice big triple thick 480mm radiator, with 8 fans in push/ pull, pump and reservoir, and getting much lower temperatures is a no brainer...

At the same time these titan x cards are kinda loud and more hot than the 980s that is for sure. I only have 1 atm, ordered the asus one today from newegg so will be in the lowly 2 way sli haha.Under construction

The nv titan coolers are way different than the shitty ref coolers of other cards.
1: Much lower temps.
2: Overclock at will.( if the user wants to)
3: Cards will never throttle.
4: Silent as a mouse.
Bit of elbow grease?, sure but it's worth it...Just crazy old me talking though.

Ultra is with the benchmark running at 4k, resolution wise right?
