Original box copies bought off of either Amazon or eBay years ago. Most of the games I have are the physical versions. Even today I'll buy a box copy of a game over digital if it is available.

Nice. I hope you bought them before prices got out of control. I got silent hill 2 for around $10 in 07, I just beat out some guy for silent hill 3 for 35 and I found silent hill 4 as a local toystore was going out of business. Only $6.

edit: I've had this LaCie external 1tb drive which I used for storage of photos/music for a couple of years that started making these clicking noises and during those it would become unresponive. I took it apart, connected it directly inside the pc and all problems are gone. Feels like I accomplished something extraordinary

edit: Oh, it is a Corsair Carbide Series Air 540. Would be nice if they made one with the PSU above or below the MB, but otherwise with the exact same layout. This one is too wide for my setup.

building a new system for my sister with some of my spare parts MB, memory I got free with my 290x's, one of my old 7970dcii and old case




had to buy a 3770k and air cooler

had to cut the plastic on one side of the cooler as it blocks the first pcie slot
may have been ok with a card without a back plate

be careful of the cooler master v8 gts and cards with back plates

my have to go to a 980 latter as she just got a Samsung S32D850T 1440p

but she only plays things like guild wars 2 & wildstar, and she is using a i7 930 and a 6970 now but it is showing it age with that screen

The case is nothing short of amazing.

I've worked with 800D, Air 540, Phantom 820, and many more and can easily say this is by far the best case I've owned.

It's a very heavy, sturdy case. Incredible wire management due to the separated PSU. Neoprene foam padding all around for sound dampening, 360x2 support for radiators, awesome SSD trays up front where you can actually see one of your most expensive items. And plenty of room for larger GPUs.

If they sold this case for $199, I'd bet it'd still sell.

The only knock I have on it, if you dont use washers on the painted surface it will take the paint right off. Tightened a bolt on the PSU and it ripped the paint right off, didn't even think about it. My fault though, not the cases.

Yeah definitely nice case. Last time I looked at NZXT stuff they had terrible looking cases with windows and flashy LEDS everywhere.

It is cool case but in my book Antec P280 is still the best case there for one reason. Full support for EATX.

I'll never use an EATX board personally. But I suppose if you need one, sure. But there are a lot of cases in the full tower segmant that support EATX. Can't really knock a case for not supporting it when it's a mid tower, and such a nich market...

Plus that case is fugly.

Err...How is that considered an upgrade?

Reason I ask is that the higher clock speeds of the video card GPU's is nice, but you lose 2GB of ram that comes with the titans, since GTX980's are still limited to 4GB capacity....Granted the 980GTX's are more power efficient, but the performance difference between both is hardly worth the swap.


Same goes with using the same CPU, but with a different brand of ram, which I can only assume it's higher clocked than the ram you were using, but also comes with worse latency with those higher clocks, so you gain something but also lose something too...

That being said, you have the most extreme setup probably ever that case will see. Haha. I'd figured you'd be in some custom built, or hell a Lian Li at least or something.
