I actually wanted to change the BIOS chip on the Asus board myself since it's built into a socket and not welded, so it's easy to replace but the Asus service department would rather have me send the entire board, which it is already on the way to them, while the Gigabyte board will arrive on Wednesday as it's coming from California, so it'll have a nice plane trip....

Apart from housing 2 CPU's that board is the equivalent of a low end UD3. Is that your only other option?CROSSHAIR X670E HERO / R9 7950X3D / RTX 4090 GAMING OC / TRIDENT Z5 NEO RGB 6000 CL30 / SAMSUNG 980pro 1TB / 2x SAMSUNG 980 1TB / H150i ELITE LCD / ATH-A2000Z / HX1200 / AW3821DW 38" / LG C2 OLED evo 55" / Enthoo 719 / K70 MKII + Zowie S2 / K57 + Harpoon / Xbox Series X Controller / REVERB G2 V2

Well, with the 4 video cards onboard and they all work at PCI-3.0 16x with no switches or bridge chips, something that no single socket board can do( even a 2011 board), and it can also handle 64 GB of unregistered non ECC memory( it's 256 GB if they are) across 8 memory channels, and the built in SAS controller that has it's own cpu and memory linked by 4 PCI-e lanes( means having 2.5 GB of dedicated bandwith so guess what that does with 4 SSD's in raid 0), you'd be correct....

My current rig when dusting. Notice the massive cooler bends the teeny tiny PCB of my GTX 760 and now the temps are reaching 80C. I have no idea how to prevent the card from bending that bad. No matter what I do the temps were bad nowI even tried putting stock cooler back to straighten the card and putting back this cooler and still it sags after a while (Taken by Nexus 5, the 4.4.2 update worsen the image quality
)

You could try a different case where the motherboard sits horizontally. like this one so that the weight of the cooler on the video card no longer forces it to bend:
About the only bad thing is that you have to make room on your desk for it.

Alright this is how BAD it was before
After some swift couple of minutes thinking I'm using my Nexus 5 box + old Moto Milestone hardcase to support the card. MUCH better
Apart from that I put 4 more fans on my case, two on top (one pushing air one pushing out and couple more to cool the harddrive. Temps drops from 44C on both my drive to 38C under how weatherOriginally posted by jimjobobIf 3 fans left the station at 10:30am cooling at a temp of 63c and one fan was derailed by a stray sata cable on the track, how long would it take all 3 fans to get on Seyiji's last nerve?

for that matter if you can't find it a piece of 1/2" PVC and two fittings and two small rubber pads glued on
a slip to male threaded and a female threaded cap and then paint blackLast edited by bill dennison; Feb 23, 2014, 08:12 AM.

Nice one for the metal brace on that link, and I suppose making your own from black pvc is doable with patience since it still has to look good, but when there's cases to solve that cost 100$, one starts to wonder if it's worth the work.

I said for multi GPU setups with the stock coolers, where there's maybe a 2~3 millimeter gap between each card and you want to hold all of them and make it look good in the process.
Thanks for listening....

That picture you linked where you see the flat rounded ends is precisely for that reason....Holding 3 cards together, one for each card.

100% load on my gpus tops out at 38-40c. Similar with CPU.
Thats impressive, I didn't think that I would be able to keep three gpus that cool in a standard case just due to the heat buildup around the case. I had assumed that a large external rad would be the only way.Originally posted by ManglerGood work guys, we can't have too many positive posts in a row on this forum.
