Nice OC on the 2500k as well I had mine at 5.0Ghz, but I finally backed it down to 4.5. Didn't see much of a difference to warrant the "balls the walls" 24/7 so now I just run it at 4.5 @ 1.363v
Half the reason for the 5GHz target is so I won't have to turn on the wall heater in my room. Until winter ends I figure I can get away with a little extra fun

What CPU cooler were you using before and how much has the h100i improved temps? (load/idle)

I've got the same CPU running at roughly the same clock speeds as you so I"m interested.

The rig in my sig is running on a full water-cooler system. The one in the pic is covering a Bloomfield i7 950 @ 3.07GHz. The h100i replaces a Thermaltake V1.

Buy Thermaltake V1 Max-Performance CPU Cooler with Massive 110mm Blue LED Full-Range Variable Speed Fan CL-P0401 with fast shipping and top-rated customer service. Once you know, you Newegg!

Not sure about the thermal compound state of the V1, but I easily knocked 10c off my temps with the h100i.

I have both fans set at 'performance' so the noise level is comparative to a regular cooler/fan setup imo. If I crank them to max level (for benchmarking), I would compare it to having a floor fan on medium speed.

New part arrived today (680 Hydro). Fishy sticks to frozencpu for an awesome packing job. No way that thing was going to get damaged.

Most of the time when I see a +$7000 fantasy build from some magazine it seems like they are just throwing money away after the first couple grand. It seems like most every dollar spent on your system offers some measurable degree of benefit. Really makes me . Very beautiful build.

They are about the same. In sleeping dogs on max detail and the cards ocd to 1100mhz highest I got was 76c (fan auto). Maybe will remove the see through screen and put in a mesh.

Hmm, maybe I need to change some stuff in my switch 810, the temps are almost 10 degrees higher on the upper card.
Oh it's like that with me two if I use the bottom card as top. The bottom will be 60c and the top will be around 80ish.

Once I swap them the temp averages out to 70. I guess one of the cards has bad paste on it but i'm gonna get 7xx or ati 8xxx cards soon anyway so i'm not gonna bother.

Yeah I find the same (always have in any MGPU system). Some cards just run hotter for whatever reason, be it the chip, application of thermal grease, contact to cooler etc. and I do the same thing, put the coolest card in the top then the temps between the cards seems much closer.

Finally got that third hydro 680 in my rig. Took a little ingenuity due that the waterblock was not the same type as the other two (couldn't find one to match anywhere). I'll post some pics as soon as I can figure out why my tubing is tinting yellow? I extracted a small piece to examine, and it does not seem to be any kind of buildup on the inside of the tubing itself. Water in the res is perfectly clear. Granted I probably should have focused more on cleaning the rad prior to install. Getting to be an expert on draining, so I'll probably just replace the clear tubing eventually with some color stuff. Btw, great pics everyone. I really enjoy seeing what other people have done with their rigs. I also find it very instructional.

I was talking to a biologist at work one day about growing plants with black/UV lights. He informed me that plants mostly grow from visible light and UV light was not necessary nor helpful for plant growth. Growing plants indoors in controlled environments is something he spent years working on, so I take him at his word. Additionally, my parents fish pond filter uses intense UV light to kill stuff growing in the water.

Additionally, I am pretty sure that the plastic tubing is generally mostly opaque to UV light.

It reminds me of that old imac commercial where the PC guy has boxes and boxes of junk to connect and the imac has just a couple. I think I have just 8 power cables, 5 usb cables, 2 speaker wires, 3 DVI cables, an ethernet cable and an audio cable.
