It's not even that crazy, I mean look at how Maximum PC spend $7K+ on their dream rig every year and compare it what AdamK47's got for similar money.
There are guys who spend thousands a year on rebuilding transmissions, replacing cams and remapping engines, new manifolds, exhausts, just for dyno bragging rights. Some spends thousands on going on vacation 4 times a year. Others a hobbyist pilots, or build robots for fighting competitions. Is it so different?

Excessive spending on material items is all relative. What seems like thousands spent on a hobby to some, may only seem like pocket change to others. Different lifestyles.
The debate on whether or not that money would be better spent elsewhere is a different story though. Personally I believe you only live once so enjoy yourself if you are so inclined.
More pictures, less bragging/boasting. Let the pictures do the talking.
Only thing i could do is take it apart and paint the outside with a custom paint job(hand brush of course).....Can't think of anything else hardware wise....

I also love the eyefinity in portrait that looks cool.
It really is, love the extra vertical res - 1920 pixels down is plus in 3x1 portrait you have 27:16 aspect ratio which is very close to 16:9 - or at least closer than 5760x1080 is

Does the card with the custom cooler get noticeable louder in that configuration?

Looks great for desktop, but I couldn't game like that.

no, it's inaudible compared to the reference cards and chassis cooling. VRM's on the custom card are 25C cooler than the reference card designs, GPU core is 15C cooler. review in progress
I finally got around to making the stock Intel cooler go bye-bye
The 2500K can finally stretch its legs
(5.1GHz was ~1hr stable on 1.40V but I want to be able to Fold with this thing again eventually so I've been slowly bumping up the core to get it a little more stable)
Nice OC on the 2500k as well I had mine at 5.0Ghz, but I finally backed it down to 4.5. Didn't see much of a difference to warrant the "balls the walls" 24/7 so now I just run it at 4.5 @ 1.363v
