    Caselabs is back

    https://www.techpowerup.com/301277/c...new-management

For those of you familiar with CaseLabs, the demise of the company in 2018 was most likely a sad time when it comes to the history of PC component manufacturers. However, it appears that the company is back in business, under new management and in a new location. CaseLabs was originally from California in the US, but the new owners have moved the company to Sweden. In fact, the key person is said to be a CaseLabs enthusiast by the name of Emil Rytterstedt who bought the rights to the CaseLabs brand in 2021, as well as what appears to be the rights for all of the products that the original company made. For now, the CaseLabs website is back up and running, but the company isn't selling any products, yet.

Looking forward to this... hope prices are reasonable tho.

I've been talking about this for over a year now. Glad to see them finally get a website up.

We are still quite far from buying cases, though. As far as I've seen, they've been working on sorting through blueprints and getting spare parts made to test out the QC of the manufacturer.

Expect really high shipping costs since they've moved manufacturing to Sweden.

At some point in the future, we would love to design brand new case models. However, our current plan regarding cases is to start by selling spare parts, followed by the original line of cases. After that, our focus will be on updating the original line-up of cases to revision A with updated front I/O, vertical GPU bracket support and so on.

And we have heard you: A small form factor case could see the light of day sometime in the future.

While I see a Lain Li V3000 Plus in my future, I can't wait to get another Caselabs case after it... My current case is bumping up on 10 years old and still very much functional. The only thing that is stopping me from continuing on with it is the new computer parts needing more cooling and I like very quiet gaming. It seems that I may be outgrowing the radiator restrictions that the SM8 Merlin has to offer.

More variety can't hurt. They made some awesome horizontal mount cases.

I'm also grabbing a V3000 Plus, but I will keep my eye on this down the road. I would love a large cube case... ThermalTake should have kept pumping out the Core X9 series after CaseLabs died.

I am excited about V3000 but will wait for reviews. I hope it isn’t cramped at the back like the 011D. Also I really need Lian Li fans so I can close the back panel. With 4 PCIe cables from 1300 watts PSU I have had to leave the back panel off due to the 4090.
