Looking for a new PC, recommendations please

Haven't looked into new PC components in awhile, what would you all recommend for a budge of about $2500 (monitor not included)?

Wanting to play the latest PC titles and want to finally give cyberpunk a try... its gotta be in a decent state now right...

5800x or 5800x3d or 5900x whatever is cheaper
3080 ti or a 3090 ir 3090ti whatever you can get a deal on i've seen 3090tis as low as 899d
32gb of ram 3600mhz
Throw a decent 1000w or more psu for future proof 
do whatever else you want for the remainder probly throw in a 280mm rad or 360rad if you have the avaliable funds left.

mobo you will get a lot of different opinions i personally recommend ASUS still or specific MSI boards.

cpu 5800x3d for pure gaming for the cheaper option the other option would be to go 7700x but that means going ddr5 and new chipsets

thanks... does AMD have anything close to intel anymore...

anything change much that I should be aware of when building a system when I haven;t done it in over 5 years...?

I used to go to Tom's Hardware, anandtech. and guru3d for reviews and guides, any other good sites... ?

sorry for the noob questions, I just feel very out of touch with PC stuff right now...

This is basically the best time to upgrade in 3 years. What resolution you want to play at will be a big factor. If you're trying to go with 4k and use ray tracing, the 4080/4090 are your only bets. At 1440p your options expand. Even more so if you don't notice a quality hit when using DLSS or FSR.

As far as sites to use, they're all good except the UserBenchmark comparisons. UserBenchmark unashamedly favors nvidia/Intel. For the rest, look at the power draw compared to price compared to performance. You'll need a 1000W PSU these days.

Also, about the noob questions - I've been thinking about how this forum has slowly lost activity. It's caused by a lack of noobs! Most of us are at a level where we can figure things out on our own and at the same time, no new users have registered here, so there's no one new to help (so thanks for the noob questions).

thanks Crawdaddy79, much appreciated... I don't have specific viewing constraints, just want games to run decent, in order of my importance
1. reliable (cant handle too much crashing)
2. smooth (40+ FPS)
3. decent visuals, however they are achieved (ray tracing or not)
4. some amount of future proofing (don't want to rebuy in 1 to 2 years), okay rebuying new vid card every few years thought, that's a quick quick plug and place...

is there an obvious good CPU choice right now? whats the best bang for my buck CPU...

Also, if I want to buy online but not use Amazon, what do you all recommend, is Newegg still good?

you want fasted and current and your budget can handle it then go for latest amd or intel if not then go with the older stuff we mentioned. it's more than capable for a few years just get a decent 12 core processor and video card can be upgraded with that for a while

case of choice as long as it’s not Lian Li 011D variant

should be around 3.5-4K with the monitor.
