Nintendo Direct dropped today

Noteworthy items:

-Fire Emblem Engage (new mainline game)
-Resident Evil Cloud series 2, 3, 7, 8 (I heard they tried to get 7 running nateively back when they adopted the RE engine to make the Monster Hunter Rise, but couldnt get adequate performance....so looks like cloud is the only way to go for these ones..unles like MHR, the game is created with Switch in mind in the first place)
-Octopath Traveller 2
-Atelier Ryza 3
-Pikmin 4
-Final Fantasy Theatreythm (sp)
-Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (BotW 2 has a name now)
-Various N64 online additions, noteably Goldeneye 007 with online play will be available sometime soon.
-various farming/life sim type games.
-Switch Boxing + Fist of the Northstar crossover (a bizaare combination)
-Bayonetta 3 (more footage)

The square stuff is neat, but it is also coming to better platforms eventually so my interest for the switch version is nil.

If its not hugely better on other platforms ill get it on switch (well my other platform is PC so it has to really benefit the upgraded hardware for me to choose that over switch)
But the cloud stuff is a turnoff, definately not getting anything cloud based.

They definately do need a new console though.
that Tegra X1 is aged as hell by now, and isnt nvidia starting EoL it? So they definately need something before they run out of chips.
But the Switch is still selling like crazy so they dont have to bring something out until they have to. Hopefully its successor actually uses something that isnt several years old by the time it comes out (which seems to be the Nintendo way.....)

Nintendo can show a logo and nothing else and people will excitedly lose their **** over it, like the Metroid Prime 4 announcement several years ago.

We havent heard anything about that game for quite some time now.....last update was they brought back Retro to work on it and had to restart it because at the time Namco/Bandai was working on it and apparently it didnt live up to expectations (aka it sucked)

BotW 2 would have been fine if it were just more of the same BotW stuff everyone loved... if it had come out 3 years ago. At this point, it needs to be something really special and unique. 20 seconds of gameplay doesn't really show much of that vision. I'm sure it'll be great, but I'd like them to show more.
