Well i have to say Sony did well, that's a decent set of launch titles.

Hopefully M$ will fire back with some big titles, they've been reportedly funding.

My only disappointment was I really hoping they'd be getting the team back together and announcing a Remake of the PS2 Siren.

Hopefully a prologue to Bloodborne is scheduled to be in the PS5 projects as well.

Miles Morales is an expansion for the remastered Spiderman.

At Sony's event unveiling the PlayStation 5, Spider-Man: Miles Morales was officially announced as a follow-up to Insomniac Games' smash-hit 2018 PlayStation 4 title Spider-Man. However, while Miles Morales initially appeared to be a full-blown sequel, Sony has now clarified that the game is actually an expansion that will be released alongside an enhanced version of Spider-Man.

Per The Telegraph, Insomniac's Spider-Man game for the PS5 is a remastered version of the 2018 title, which includes a "substantial" expansion. The publication describes Miles Morales as "more akin to an expansion bolted on to an upgraded version of the original title." Moreover, Simon Rutter -- Sony Interactive Entertainment's Executive Vice President of European Business -- explained to The Telegraph that the expansion would include "major enhancements" to Spider-Man.

The presumed large size of the console might explain why they showed it standing up only. Would take up a ton of real estate next to my other consoles laying down if its truly that big.

There's a good reason they haven't announced the price yet, if it was 400-500 I'm sure they would ahve already said so. Microsoft is also playing the waiting game on Price.

I'm at two minds about PS5, Sony is publishing Horizon Zero Dawn on PC, Death Stranding is also coming to PC.

I'm not sure if Sony is dipping their toes into PC releases and seeing what happens or if it's only just random titles and the rest stay on PS4/5.

I would prefer if all title came to PC even if it was 6 months later (not 2 years like some timed exclusives on PS5).

I really don't want to buy a PS5 for a few select games.

They are just giving you a taste of horizon so you wil want the PS5. God of war and spiderman will most likely never come to PC. They got to protect the best exclusives.

I just wonder how many of these games will scale down to play on PS4.

I think Sony is holding out on price till MS unveils so they can undercut them again.

Some great games. JCD wtf you didn't tell us you were working on a new Spider Man game. My 6 year old is so excited who Platinum-ed the game this year lol.

Digital edition better have a 2-4 TB drive otherwise at 1 TB would be a worthless edition.

Reveal seemed better than the box reveal.

PS5 can have it's space expanded using an M2 SSD. So I wouldn't be overly worried about that, short it of potentially needing to be a fairly super fast NVME M2 SSD.

The PS5's SSD is 825GB so not even a terrabyte. you'll run out of room quickly, unless you mean buying an external nvme drive for it later on.

Ooooh usb expansion is pretty sweet for the PS4 backwards compatability. If you could store PS5 titles and transfer to the internal SSD for play that would also be pretty awesome as well.

I won't pay $700 for a console. As of right now the cost and the potential issues with bc are the only caveats. I would think $700 could drive potential buyers to the Xbox, or just not buy at all. Hopefully it's no more than 6 tops, and I would even balk at that.

My total budget for consoles was $1000. If PS5 takes the 600-700 spot I may get the X Series S instead of X series X.

Hmm, I don't know. Don't think most console gamers care much about hardware specs. Also, remember the PS3 launch. Was $600 I believe and initial sales suffered for it.

We'll see though. I always believe it's about the games, and Xbox has been sucking in that arena for a while now.

I wasn't talking about what console gamers care about, more how those parts are not cheap.

a 10terraflop PC GPU costs about as much as a console does it self, then you have PCI Express 4 NVME drive, the controller etc

I think 600 will be the price, and people will buy it anyway.

Nintendo Switch is non stop selling all the time, it's 340 euro and is a handheld hybrid that's not even as fast as a base PS4.

I want it to be 400 then it's a instant buy for me, but Sony nor Microsoft is going to take a hit on console sales.

I might go 6 if there's a solid game and an extra controller bundled with it. I use my PS4 more than I do my PC these days anyway. I'd still like to see no more than 5 though I doubt it.
