Paid 9 bucks for PS+ Extra. Downpumping Stray, Sushi Ghost, Returnal and Demon Soul. Ok to pay 9 bucks to try this crap.

You’ve done bullet hells before right? You really need to not let Returnal’s perma death stop you from progressing..there’s a story to it, fed in bits as you progress, and it’s spooky and all kinds of amazing. Give it a chance

Tried Returnal. Doesn’t seem like my kind of game. Died once thus far. But the map is confusing af and most times I don’t know what the woman is trying to find.

Kinda like life story of most women on the planet.

yeah it’s confusing at first. Each level has a boss that, once you kill it, you have the option of skipping it on later attempts. You’ll also open a gate to the next level.
You just have to find the boss.

There are also permanent perks that are hidden throughout the levels that make subsequent runs a bit easier.

I do get it though, it’s not for everyone.

Finally got a Playstation 5!!

I had signed up for the Amazon wait list on both a disc system and a disc system bundled with Horizon: Forbidden West. After being on them for months, my turn came up to purchase the Horizon bundle, so I grabbed that and got it 2 days ago.

Unfortunately (to me), Horizon is a digital only version. I'm thinking about putting that up for sale at a price less than retail. Anyone here interested?

Otherwise, totally love the system. The new controller is awesome! Haven't played much on it yet since I'm still finishing up what's left of the PC backlog. Going to start looking for PS5 games soon.

I saw that deal yesterday. Looks like both xbox & playstations are (mostly) available now, at close to MSRP, so the shortage looks like it's close to being over. That being said, they'll prolly sell out for the christmas holiday, so if people are looking to buy a PS5 or Series X, now is the time to do it.

Congrats on the PS5! There’s still not a huge library of next gen games, but there’s enough to have good fun with it for a while. Enjoy!

sure it depends on where you look for it, and yes, you can get one for as "low" as 689,99€ (Standard) or 599,00€ (Digital). Maybe i'll get one in the far future when they're down to 400 bucks or so. Right now there aren't enough games to justify it (for me).

and yes, i know the prices, but in most cases you simply won't be able to grab one for that price.

Shops with lower prices are almost always fake shops or other shady places.
I don't know a single person who was able to get one for the prices you mentioned. If you have, great.

Still not able to walk in and pick one up. Every time I hear there are some in stock, I have no chance to get there for hours, so I don't bother.

Really. PS5 are stacked in all shops in Dubai. And at MSRP but only with bundles (like extra controller or game stuff). Maybe come to Dubai and pick one up.

as i've said before, people over here completely stopped to care for the console, which tells you a thing or two about it. It's a shame, because it is a great piece of hardware, no question about that.

Think 2023 would be the year when people will start caring for it again. Given a round of exclusives and UE5 games showing their prowess on the Sony platform.

Sony Hikes Price of PS5 in Europe, Japan, and More

Gamers in the United States are being spared an increase at the present time.

Sony is increasing its PS5 prices in the UK, Europe, Japan, China, Australia, Mexico, and Canada. Prices are jumping by 10 percent in Europe, 21 percent in Japan, and by around 6 percent in the UK as inflation rates impact Sony and many other companies. While Sony is increasing PS5 prices in many parts of the world, it says there won’t be a price increase in the US.

The new prices are effective immediately, the exception being the Japan increase which will go into effect on September 15th. While Sony is increasing PS5 prices, the supply situation is still a problem in many markets. “Our top priority continues to be improving the PS5 supply situation so that as many players as possible can experience everything that PS5 offers and what’s still to come,” says Ryan.

That atmosphere got me too lol. I think it’s one of the reasons I love the game so much. Lots of other horror games don’t do anything for me, but this one did, even though it isn’t a horror game.

Only thing that made my palms sweat with this game was trying to handle the 30 fps on PS3. *puke*

I never did quite finish it. Mainly because of the performance just ruined it for me. But also overall the story and gameplay just didn't grab me like I had hoped. The story and characters are just so unlikable IMO, too grim. I remember just dreading the misery I'd feel every time I would sit down to play.

I do want to pick it up when it eventually comes to PC though. I think having the better performance will at least allow me to play through it.

I’m just happy I don’t deal with that sensitivity to frame rate. I’m not saying 30 fps is great, or even ‘ok’ but I don’t get nauseous either.

I think one of the reasons I enjoyed the story so much is that the characters attitudes and actions seemed to me to be just what we would see, which would be pretty grim, yeah.

The only reason I haven’t gone for it yet it a couple of sites mentioned that some of the annoying combat quirks are still the same. I was annoyed that old quirks weren’t fixed in the Demon’s Souls remake, and I’ll probably be annoyed in this for the same reason.

Its a very good game and I don't think any game captures human emotions and nature quite like both last of us does but its also the reason why i won't play it again.

TBH, sony can just **** off with their 10€ PS5 tax, that has pretty much made sure that I'll never buy a ps5 title on day one.
