Yeah my start was a cluster**** too, after that terrible start was ok. My XSX gets far more usuage than my PS5 does, but I do turn it on now and again to play the exclusives that I have yet to finish.

Demon Souls I'll probably sell on Ebay as it's just not my cup of tea. Returnal is good though.

So far so good after reinstalling Returnal. Demon Souls went without a hitch.

Although I figure I'm cursed. Played Returnal up until the first boss, used one of those reconstruction things and when I got back to the boss he wouldn't spawn again. So I was stuck in a hole after wasting ether to use the reconstruction thing and had to reset the cycle as there was nothing I could do. Oof.

Was fun until then though.

Looks like they gave out some details for PSVR2. Very high specs, inside-out tracking, should look great with rendering power from PS5. It's still wired though... Hard to believe anyone would release a wired headset this year. It'll be interesting to see a head-to-head competition between the PSVR2 with vastly superior graphics, vs Quest2 with wireless and room-scale experiences.

Yes every time you get shot a device should smack you on your butt cheeks or try to break your spine. For head shots it should hit your temple with a sound and vibration so hard that makes the game feel real!

There's some rumors that headset haptics may be very effective at countering motion sickness. If that's true, it could be a killer feature.

Yeah I think it's mainly to combat VR sickness than vibrating your brain with headshots .

I was thinking of replaying those again. They are the first release to support a 120 FPS mode. Big jump from 30 if your TV supports it. Mine doesn’t, but 60 sounds good too.

I need to finish Guardians of the Galaxy and then I am in. I got both games for the PS4 and they are awesome in every way except for the chunky 30 FPS. Can't wait!

Depends on if you want to replay the uncharted games. Also depends on if you will wait for PC version instead. For me I can replay uncharted games and for 10 bucks it was a no brainer to get it on PS5.

I am heavily biased btw.

Is Returnal difficult?

It is. It’s a rogue-like. It’s also one of the best, most replayable games released for the PS5 so far.

The thing to keep in mind is that it’s a heavily story driven game. I don’t think there’s ever been another rogue-like to compare it too. So difficult yes, but the way they set it up just makes you want more.

Fwiw - Dead Cells is the only rogue-like I’ve played before. I hate perma-death mechanics, but Returnal changed all of that for me.

Are you saying they are exactly the same? I hadn’t heard that. For the $10 upgrade on other games you get PS5 features that won’t exist in PS4 version. You could argue whether that’s worth $10 or not. That’s a different discussion. Things like fast load times, optimized performance modes, higher LOD, and even ray-tracing may not be there. I haven’t seen a comparison on Forbidden West on the differences yet. But, many other PS4 re-releases like Uncharted offer some significant differences.

Yep, I didn't know this until I noticed someone call it out on Reddit, I had already preordered the PS5 version from Amazon. Canceled and now have the PS4 version ordered. Sony are being turds on this one trying to jack people out of an extra $10 if they don't know this.

This is the only game they are allowing it on because they stated as such a while ago, they won't be correcting it, what they should be correcting is the price of the PS5 version to $59.99 and quit trying to rip people off who don't know the upgrade is free.

Bad move. I agree it makes no sense. Almost everyone that has a PS5 had a PS4. The article I read said they buckled under pressure to offer the free upgrade and now they screw people that buy on their new platform?? Sony is usually smart about marketing things. Sorta surprised they are being dumb over something so simple.

Well they did give PS4 buyers a free upgrade. Doesn’t sound that much like arrogant market leader to me.
