So internal 1TB drive is PS5/PS4
Internal NVME Expansion is PS5/PS4
External Drive = PS5 Backup or PS4 games
External SSD is best for PS4 games, much faster than Mechanical external. (which on PS4 was faster but not by a huge amount due to the lack of bandwidth).Fantards the scourge of the universe:

A little worrisome they are selling inventory they don’t even have yet. Oh well. Maybe there will be more good games out by then
Maybe your luck will hold and it’ll ship early

And I'm only near the start of the gameFantards the scourge of the universe:

These games become infinitely more manageable when dealing with one enemy at a time vs. multiple.

The cooler of the PS5 was overdesigned due to their huge aversion to the PS4 being compared to 747 engines in terms of decibles.Fantards the scourge of the universe:

Looks like it's a non-issue.
And it also looks like the fan in the ps5 isn't controlled by temps, it is regulated by power draw, so I guess it would not matter if the new heatsink resulted in a hotter running console.

I wonder how the temps will be with a high performance SSD adding extra heat into the mix...some of the memory temps can be close to max especially for the possibly millions of people who will have high ambient temps and/or poor ventilation

Looks like the new design for the metal contact plate has helped a bit with the mem temps (down to under 90C).Last edited by DeathKnight; Sep 20, 2021, 11:43 AM.AMD Ryzen 7 5800X | Fractal Design Celsius S24 AIO | Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite | 2 x 16GB G.SKILL Ripjaws V DDR4-3200 (14-14-14-34) B-Die | MSI 3080 VENTUS 3X OC 10G | Creative Sound Blaster Z | Samsung 970 EVO 500GB M.2 NVMe SSD | WD Black SN750 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD | Samusng 850 Evo 500GB SSD | Seagate Barracuda 2TB | WD 640GB Black | Asus BW-12B1ST 12X Blu-ray Burner | Fractal Design Define R5 case | EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 PSU | Win 10 Pro | 4K w/Hisense 55" U8H Mini LED Quantum ULED 4K TV
