My dbrand plates came in. The matte black looks fantastic. Sony should have released the console in black from the beginning; looks much more sleek.

Got mine last night, and you're right Nunz. Looking at it I just don't understand why Sony chose only white. Matte black is so much better looking.

Sony direct ssems to be the best chance for folks I know. Just keep logging in a few times a day and trying. You'll land one eventually.

Sales on Sony Direct are few and far between. I missed by 4 minutes last one. It’s still next to impossible if you don’t have someone that can monitor the restocks full time. Not sure when it improves. Why are the exclusives taking so long too? I get the overall chip shortage problem on HW. But, why so long on games? Luck for us that can’t get one though. It would be super frustrating if great exclusives were coming out while we are stuck hitting refresh in our browser

It sounds like they've slowed down a bit. All I can say is hopefully it changes soon...

The games are a whole other problem..I'm glad I'm enjoying what I bought, but I would really like to see more available.

That's crazy. A year ago I was seeing tons of xbones for under a hundred bucks, and PS4s for not much more. The whole world is whacked out right now.

dunno about the states, but over here they are still priced the same as before the crisis. The PS5 though is a bit tough to get by, but not impossible

The pro is anywhere from $250>$400 on Craigslist here. I'm thinking about letting mine go soon.

a new 1tb Pro goes for around 350/400 bucks right now (you can get them as low as ~ 280), depending on what you want to have with it (1 controller / 2 controllers / games and so on). I dunno if i would by one right now though, but might just be me.

I have basically a brand new PS4 Pro with two controllers. I should try to get rid of it now then. I think I paid $349 early 2020 for it, lol.

At this point I think it's more "If you can get one, great. If not, you aren't missing much just yet".

I love the console, the lack of load times etc, but other than 2 or 3 games...there just isn't a lot out there.

Ghost was one of the best games to play on it. just smooth and beautiful and a ton of fun

Ratchet looks like more my speed of game and the first real PS5 game for me since release of the console. I guess I have 2 others but have almost put no time into either with demon soles and spider man MM, I really should look at playing spider man.

You worked on that right? Digital Foundry is really impressed with what you guys are doing on PS5 with ray tracing.

the prices are another thing that holds me off getting a ps5. 70 bucks and above for a game is ridiculous
