AFAIK Seagate only has exclusivity with the add-on card for a set amount of time then others will be able to make them. They'll obviously have to go through a certification process though.Last edited by DeathKnight; Oct 4, 2020, 04:54 PM.AMD Ryzen 7 5800X | Fractal Design Celsius S24 AIO | Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite | 2 x 16GB G.SKILL Ripjaws V DDR4-3200 (14-14-14-34) B-Die | MSI 3080 VENTUS 3X OC 10G | Creative Sound Blaster Z | Samsung 970 EVO 500GB M.2 NVMe SSD | WD Black SN750 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD | Samusng 850 Evo 500GB SSD | Seagate Barracuda 2TB | WD 640GB Black | Asus BW-12B1ST 12X Blu-ray Burner | Fractal Design Define R5 case | EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 PSU | Win 10 Pro | 4K w/Hisense 55" U8H Mini LED Quantum ULED 4K TV

Godfall will require an internet connection. I wonder what that's for.

PS5 breakdown.. They are trying hard to keep this thing cool. Hopefully over time it doesn't turn in to another jet engine.
Still hate it's design.

Sony did put a huge expensive heat sink in that thing and coupled it with liquid metal. Just makes me think that all those rumors about Sony overclocking the system as much as possible after the Series X reveal to be true. I'd imagine there will be a LOT of heat needed to be dissipated. Not sure how well the whole system will do on that front but the heat sink looks good.
As other have said I'm not sure how high end NVMe drives will do long term cooling wise...guess we'll all find out over the next while

Just joking...I wouldn't really expect any more trouble with the 5 than there would be on any new product launch. I've had several PS4's (all given away but one) and never had issues.
What I DON'T expect...is to be able to walk out of a store with one without some clown wanting to fight for it. Yes. It's happened here before. Black Friday deals lol.

My point is after the warranty. I've personally gone through 2 nvme drives on my laptop alone and another two SSDs that failed similarly in friends and family computers that weren't all that old or abused even though my first SSD is still going strong over some 6 years later.... Failure rates on this type of storage is less than mechanical means, but still not completely ruled out.
I get the reason they integrated it into the board for their blazing fast speeds, but it's essentially buying a whole new board if any component fails which doesn't seem the cheapest to fix for their warranty department or you years down the road.| Fractal Design Define R5 | ASUS Crosshair VI Hero | AMD 5800x 3D w/ Noctua DH-15 | 16GB G.Skill Flare-X | Aorus 2080 Super Waterforce Edition | HP Omen 27i |

I believe around 70c that NVMe drives can start to have diminishing performance. NVMe inside of that little bay seems like potential trouble.
I'm hoping that the bay is tied into the the draw of air by the fan.. but who knows with Sony being really vague."Yes, but God has the right to get away with anything. The Demon's Souls remake might be coming to the PS4 after all. I guess Media Markt is pretty reliable, so I'll file this under "Hopeful, but not really expecting it" for now.
https://screenrant.com/demons-souls-...store-listing/
According to Sony, Demon’s Souls was expected to be a PlayStation 5 exclusive, but new evidence implies that the game might still release on the current console generation, with a PS4 listing of the remake coming from Hungarian retailer Media Markt. The listing has a November 19 release date affixed to it, which makes sense considering that's the international launch date for the PS5 and most of its launch titles. At the time of writing, the listing is still live and viewable, and the fact that it hasn’t yet been taken down may speak to its legitimacy. Additionally, the Media Markt retailer is quite a credible source, as it's one of the best-known retailers in the region.
