I've seen guys show how they have multiple computers with several programs running to instantly check stock from dozens of different stores and have orders go through in seconds.

I received an email to preorder from Sony directly, don't know if it will take my CC though as its not US based. Will still try in case something goes wrong with my Amazon order.

Thanks! I managed to get through the order and received confirmation that I'll get it on launch day, but since the card is charged when it ships, I'm still not sure if I'm good. I wonder if I can pay for it with PSN credit?

That's a good question! So I did a search and....maybe??

Well, I found a preorder FAQ on the site and apparently the only payment method accepted is credit card. From the FAQ:

2) What payment methods are available for direct.playstation.com?

MasterCard, Visa & Discover are accepted credit cards.

And:

Your credit card will be charged for your pre-ordered item once it is ready to ship
At the time you place your pre-order reservation, we will pre-authorize your credit card for the estimated total for all items displayed in your cart. A pre-authorization hold is temporary and does not cause your card to be charged. However, the amount of the pre-authorization may count against your credit limit for approximately 1-8 days, depending on your financial institution. Credit card pre-authorization is required in order to validate your payment information.

I'm not seeing the pre-auth on my card statement, but the order supposedly went through, so I'll be uncertain if I got it or not until closer to launch lol.

If not, hope Amazon goes through and delivers on launch day

I was going to pre-order but with no exclusive must have PS5 games on release Im just going to hold off until stock normalizes and I can just order one hassle free without putting any effort in. That probably wont be until next year after christmas and Im fine with that.

Tell me about it. I’ve spent about 2k on consoles this month.

You’re doing this the smart way. I’ll never pay a scalper, but if there’s a legit way to get new tech first I’m like a dog with a bone. I WILL have it come hell or high water. Almost gave up on Sony this gen. MS was a bit easier, but still BS.

These retailers really need to do something about the bots. Nobody should have to deal with stress and anxiety when buying tech. We buy this stuff to escape stress and anxiety, it shouldn’t cause it

It was little over a week ago that gaming fans were finally able to pre-order Sony’s upcoming next-gen PS5 console after months of anticipation. The shipments were originally scheduled to begin on the day of launch; however, it now appears that the PlayStation fanatics who had to go through all the pain to snag the next iteration of their favourite console on launch day might not be getting their units delivered on time.

According to a recent report by Video Games Chronicle, a number of people who pre-ordered the PS5 from GameStop Ireland have received notices from the store saying that the orders can’t be fulfilled until 2021 due to events out of their control. The store also allows them an ability to request a refund by cancelling the pre-order.

In addition, customers report that Amazon has also sent them emails to notify that the PS5 may not arrive on launch day as planned.

Graphics seem sharper on the PS5 and a better colour maybe? dont know I expected more really.. the drawing distance is nice but not easy to notice for me over a frame zoom in. bet its the load time and smoothness of 60fps that will be the big change.

Yeah its a bit sharper and the texture changes are barely noticeable.....

Well like I said all along.

It's either 4k 30fps (at least it better be that minimum), or performance mode which targets 60fps. (key word being targets)

So either they turn graphics down, or they use sub 4k resolution to get to that 60fps.

It's a good looking game for sure, though not sure about the spiderman change.

Where is the PS5 news?? if i youtube xbox series x i get loads of people trying old games all running at 60fps looking beautiful and loading in 10 seconds!! but nothing showing the PS5 off!!

XSX 1TB = 930GiB (final storage is 802 meaning OS is 128)
PS5 825GB = 768 GiB (final storage 664 meaning OS is 104)
