So, Horizon 2 and Spider Man Miles Morales are coming to PS4, Demon's Souls launching on PC too. Seems like there won't be any exclusives for launch?

I still will try to get a preorder on a digital edition tomorrow Can't get the 3080 out of my mind, but I think my CPU will hold it back quite a bit, so PS5 it is.

Xbox/Microsoft got tons of **** (including from Sony) for cross-gen games. Now Sony's revealed that Miles Morales, Sackboy, and the new Horizon game will be coming to PS4 as well.

I guess these games are being "held back" by being on current gen too....

My PS4 is already my primary gaming platform. I'm not willing to spend the money to upgrade my PC when a PS5 is more than satisfactory for me. Great games, great visuals. I'm happy with it.

Well that seals the deal. Demon's Souls was only reason i was interested in PS5. No need to buy anytime soon for me now lol. It's great to be a PC gamer.

Sony has thought about Something Special for PlayStation Plus. PlayStation 5 owners can play 18 of the best PS4-era games with a PS Plus subscription on the Next Gen console with the PS Plus Collection. With God of War, The Last of Us Remastered or Persona 5, a few real pearls are included. We introduce you to all 18 games.

Where does the information come from? Sony announced today in the official PS5 event (all information in our live ticker) that PlayStation Plus subscribers will get a special benefit on the PS5. Sony introduced it right away.

This is what PlayStation 5 owners get for launch: If you buy a PS5 and subscribe to PlayStation Plus at the same time, you can access a PS Plus Collection for the release of Sony's next-gen console. This is a collection of 18 top titles that appeared in the PS4 era.

What's new about this? So far, PlayStation Plus usually offers 2 monthly free games that you can download and use for free with your subscription. In September 2020, PS Plus offered you PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) and Street Fighter V. PlayStation 5 owners now enjoy the PS Plus Collection but some of the most important games of the PS4 era.

By the way, in the meantime there is finally news about the pre-order of the PS5.
Games like Persona 5 can play PlayStation 5 - shoppers with PlayStation Plus for free on their console.

1 out of maybe 30 friends is eager to get the ps5, the rest of em is in no rush at all In the end it will be the same as with every new console, people will trample over others to get their console on day 1 and a lot of them will buy more than just 1 to sell it to other idiots who are willing to pay ridiculous prices.

I don't think the consoles will ship until the ~middle of Nov, so we have time. I'm waiting for Best Buy to be able to confirm a sale myself so I can spend some BB gift cards. I'm just hoping to have one by the holidays.

Yeah the pre-order was a shithow. Opened a day earlier and screwed everyone that was waiting until today. I was pissed off last night because i couldn't sleep so decided ill keep a eye on amazon opening and never saw the pre-eorder open and 5 minutes later it was already all sold out Also, whatever happened to the registration for pre-orders

More angry at how they handled it. They said preorders won't open up until the 17th. Make the playing field level for everyone to get one....but NOPE, fk you consumers it's a guessing game/battle royale to get one. I don't like companies treating their customers unfairly, which is how I perceive Sony right now...

So yes, unless they rectify the situation I will vote with my wallet. Unless MS does the same thing, then I'll really be in a pickle

I was actually planning on buying 2 of them (one for myself, one for a former co-worker who is a little down on his luck lately). Not anymore. If they said "we're opening pre-orders at 8am on the 17th" and I missed my chance, so be it. Fair is fair. This BS though....not having it.

So buddy texts me and says "preorders on walmart.com at 6pm (PST)". Figured "ok, here's my shot." I was on the site refreshing every 10 seconds since 5:55pm. 6:00pm on the dot I see add to cart, I get the fking thing in my cart, all my info is already saved on walmart.com and in the time it took to enter the 3 digit security code the item is removed from my cart and says "out of stock."

I just scored one at Walmart.com 5 minutes ago. Checked out their website, said not available, I hit F5 and it showed "Pre-Order". Was able to check out seamlessly. Obviously went with the disk version.

Still pissed at Sony for this preorder BS, but happy I got one. This would have been the first generation in a while where I didn’t own all the consoles.

Yes and no.

If you play a game that is available now and want to experience it at better settings, it is no different than someone updating their video card for higher resolution and more FPS.

I'm contemplating whether or not I'll try and pre-order the new Xbox because of the next Destiny 2 expansion. Have played it on PC and XB1 and it is hard to go back to 30FPS from what the PC does, but... sitting on your couch with a controller is a lot more comfortable after a long day at work than sitting with the M&KB.

Every generation of consoles and new hardware can ultimately be written off as "it won't be taken advantaged of for a while" and yet, that is our hobby, and we do it time and time again.

I've built my entire gaming PC for couch gaming. Big screen 4k TV, xbox wireless controller, wireless keyboard/mouse, home theater surround system. You don't need to do the "sit behind a desk stare 6 inches into the monitor" thing if you build yourself a good HTPC for that purpose.



I'd like to buy a PS5 but the sole purpose would be to play Last of Us 2 and maybe a few other exclusives, they'd all be connected to the same home theater system.
