Originally got to Walmart at 5:30pm and was told they weren't lining people up until 9. Got there at 8:30 and waited around by the movies. I managed to get first in line. I ended up with these goods at midnight....

Went by target to pick up zelda and I was there early enough to get a console. There would still be at least 10 more after the line for walk-ins. Amazon is about to deliver mine so I could have technically had it sooner if I just went to Target to get the console.

The Switch's 6.2 inch 720p LCD screen provides gorgeous visuals – and is definitely the best we've ever seen on a Nintendo device – but it's way more delicate than we'd hoped, and appears to be made of plastic like a Vita rather than glass like a phone or tablet. We've been super careful with our Switch since it arrived a little over a week ago and we've been keeping it nestled comfortably in one of Miguel's giant woolen socks whenever we transport it. Unfortunately, after only a week of daily use it's already gathering a healthy collection of little scratches in the bottom left hand corner, as you can see in the photo

I somehow doubt that they have been SUPER careful but it does feel like nintendo should have taken measures to prevent this.

Yeah, especially if I'm going to let me kids play with this. Typically nintendo hardware is pretty kid friendly, so I'm surprised to see how easily the screen is scratching.

Yeah I think next year I am going to buy my niece a switch. I certainly am not getting one for myself.

Ouch, this should have been made Gorilla glass. I know first hand that plastic is going to scratch ridiculously easy. Just put a plastic screen protector over a new IPhone, first several hours the dam thing was already scratched. Got rid of the plastic protecting the screen. Bleh!

When I see more sources reporting the same thing with pictures I'll believe it. Those look more like little hairs than scratches.

Those look more like cracks than scratches - they seem way too deep to be a scratch. Little hairs make sense too, as the scratches have way too much depth to them, imo.

Also the way those scratches are lined would tell me they throw it in the stand, or used a knife. To scratch it.

It won't let me link my account. It keeps telling me the information is wrong weather i use my email or user id. I tried having it send me an email but it sends an email stating that no account exists that is associated with that email.

However if i log in on my Wii U and look at the email address, it has the correct one. When I try to log in on the web site, it rejects it if I try to use my email address but allows it if I use my user id. When I look on the account settings on the web site, it has the correct email there as well.

EDIT: I just had to re enter every thing as if i was changing it and it worked

Nintendo used to be very forgiving...I called in about a single stuck pixel on my DS and they replaced it. I wonder what they'd do if you called in about a reddish hue on the screen.

This was a common issue with the DS and 3DS. Nintendo has terrible QA.

gamestop has the $454 bundle available on friday. console, zelda, strategy guide, and a pro gamepad. almost pulled the trigger, but decided to wait for the 1080ti instead. still just might pickup zelda for the wii-u.

Looks like the pro controller is a must buy for TV play, this thing isn't cheap for the lack of power it has as a console, should have been sold as a hand hold only at $199. The layout of the Joycons looks questionable as well.
