I've found out that Switch has the potential to become my main gaming platform, if it gathers a large enough selection of games. And even if it doesn't. The portability aspect has proven to be a great thing for me. With Switch I'm able to do some gaming every now and then, without it there would be no gaming time whatsoever in my current life phase.

i wasnt getting the chance to play pc games as much, because of life. but with the switch, i aply all the time now, even if for a few minutes. and much more satisftying than a cell phone game.

That moment at 53-54s when the bark of the tree in the center of the frame just appears is a little jarring

I'd guess there's less foliage in the final version. I don't see that running smoothly on Switch.

I suspect that the switch version will not come even close to the level of quality of the trailer footage, AKA the pc version.

Played some of Blaster Master Zero yesterday, loved it. Also keep plugging along at BoTW when I have a chance. Seriously, love the handheld aspect, gives me more time than I would otherwise have to play.

I picked this up today after playing the demo. Great game and plays great. If I had one complaint it would only be that it is too easy.

Yeah the difficulty is what lets it down, needs more. Of a challenge.

Play the original on NES. Notoriously difficult.

They obviously softened up this release to cater to modern/casual gamers.

And I know this is old news, but it's a shame that these things are just for extending the battery life of something that already has a great battery life, it would have been neat if it was capable of charging the console itself.

Why can't others match Nintendo for controller battery life? The joy cons would last 15+ hours and i finally picked up a pro controller that after about 25 hours of use shows around 70% remaining.

Isn't it just the dualshock that has poor battery life?

The xb1 is also in the 15 hours+ range.

And it can get into the 20 hours+ range with the right batteries.

XBone depends on the batteries you put in it. You'll never see 80 hours though.

Seems like my Switch is done. I plugged in an SD card, and it started updating the system to use the card. Then it went all blank, and doesn't turn on at all.

Yep. Not much will be lost, but still it sucks. Zelda's the only game I have, and I'd played about 20 hours or so. I think that I will find the motivation to push through that all again.

Ok, good to know. There's no other option but to send it in, hope there will be no hassle with the warranty. I don't have the skills to do anything to the device myself.

Stuff like this is why I wouldn't risk voiding the warranty on this stuff by painting it like all those people on Reddit. When you're an early adopter, it so much more likely that you'll be exercising that warranty.

Well I'm talking more so about people who do their own custom paint jobs, which I'm not a fan of. They just tend to only appeal to the one person that customized it.

I'm sure Nintendo will eventually release more color variants of the Switch.

Dropped the Switch to the retailer today, they will send it for repairs. We'll see how long it takes before I can get back into Zelda.

I see posts where people have controller issues, and nintendo is adding a piece of conductive foam to the bluetooth/wifi antannae to fix the de-sync issues.
I would love to do this to mine, as i have a 3 foot range, which blows, but cant find conductive foam anywhere.,.

For what it's worth, Gamestop online seems to have switch bundles at the moment if you're having trouble nailing one down. Not sure how long they'll last.

Gays, my kid has been asking for a switch for a while now. I am thinking about getting him one. If I buy, then only 2 games to purchase right now? Zelda and Kart 8?

Or shall I just get him something else. Problem is that my kids are notorious for breaking anything that is like a tablet. Before I know it, the little one will be jumping up and down and throw a tantrum watching the eldest play.

Dafuq should I do? Just Wii U the thing or get a switch and hope that they don't break it in 2 days?

I already struggle to play games on my PS4 since my little one wants to play as well so we give him a non functioning PS4 remote and call it a day. W/ Switch that won't be possible
