      Tearaway

Has anyone else played Tearaway yet?

It's the best Vita game I've played to date, and arguably the best looking as well.

There's a demo available if anyone wants to check it out. It's from Media Molecule, the same guys behind Little Big Planet.

I just played the first single player mission for Killzone Mercenary and I am impressed. definitely the best shooter game I played on the Vita so far. I played the MP beta on vita before so this doesn't really shock me. but I am more of a SP guy and looks like it is worth the $9 I paid so far.

Dead Nation Coming to PS Vita April 15th

Anyone who has previously purchased the PS3 game or Road of Devastation will be entitled to the PS Vita versions at no extra cost, thanks to cross buy.

Back at E3 2013, the PS Vita version of Dead Nation was announced, and today I’m pleased to confirm that the game will be launching tomorrow. You’ll finally be able to carry the zombie apocalypse in your pocket.

For those of you who still aren’t in the know after the launch of the PS4 version last month, Dead Nation is a top-down, shoot ‘em up style game set in an apocalyptic zombie world. This classic PSN game was originally developed by the talented team at Housemarque, also known for Resogun and Super Stardust HD.

Like the PS4 version of the game, the PS Vita version has been developed by our friends at Climax Studios, and they’ve faithfully recreated the classic experience of the original PS3 game. Journey through the campaign as Jack McReady or Scarlett Blake, or replay your favorite levels and compete for top scores in the single mission mode. Prefer not to experience the apocalypse alone? You and a friend can play the game in both online or ad-hoc co-op. Make sure you upload your stats whenever possible to support your country in the global standings.

Dead Nation will cost $7.99, and the Road of Devastation DLC can be purchased separately for $3.99. Anyone who has previously purchased the PS3 game or Road of Devastation will be entitled to the PS Vita versions at no extra cost, thanks to cross buy.

Dead Nation feels right at home on PS Vita, and everyone who has seen it so far has really enjoyed it. I can’t wait to hear what all of you think once you get your hands on it.

Good stuff they are bringing to the Vita. I played the game with the Vita as a second controller on my PS4 anyway. Double achievements maybe..

I was really excited about vita when it first launched, but it seems like it hasn't really caught alot of traction. I think they priced it way too high in the beginning, and that set them back alot. Has it even had a price drop yet?

yes, August 2013, both US and Europe got a price cut and Vita price went down to $199 from $249. also 3g Vita models were sold for $149 in certain stores and before that during Black Friday Wi-Fi version was sold for $149 as well. also memory cards for Vita got a price cut last year too.
and in Japan, after the price cut around February 2013 Vita outsold Wii U.

however in a sense another price cut is coming on May 6th with the New model of Vita that will be included in the Borderlands 2 bundle. the bundle will be $199 along with the game and will include 8gb memory card.

even though the price was an issue in the beginning, I think the real issue is still the lack of that big exclusive game. there are a lot of amazing games on it, a lot more is coming and it is hell of a device as a handheld but there is not a game like GTA V that can increase the sales.

Gravity Rush, Tearaway, Dragon's Crown, Uncharted, Killzone, Little big planet, all the Indie games, the apps and etc. are great and price drop, second screen & remote play with PS4, Cross-buy games helped some with the sales but so far there has not been a huge jump.
I am sure Borderlands 2 bundle will help with the sales as well, but I am just not sure whether it can be the Triple A title that increases Vita's sales significantly.

It doesnt look that great visually but you have to remember they just cant port the game as is over to the Vita it just doesnt have the kind of horsepower needed to run the game. I dont think they did that bad of a job.. the game could look a lot worse. At least as it stands now it looks like its native resolution.

Rather than porting over BL2, which is nearly two years old and just doesn't seem like a good "fit" for the Vita, I really wish they'd created a really good, exclusive Borderlands game for the system instead.

New Slimmer, Lighter PS Vita Model Out Today

The day has arrived – the new slimmer, lighter PlayStation Vita model is now available at retailers across North America. Pick up the new model today as part of the Borderlands 2 Limited Edition PlayStation Vita Bundle, featuring the first-person role-playing shooter Borderlands 2 with six DLC packs and an 8GB memory card, all for $199.99 (MSRP). This is a limited edition bundle, so don’t miss your opportunity to pick up the new PS Vita model today.

The new model is approximately 20 percent slimmer and approximately 15 percent lighter than the original and features 1GB of internal memory, extended battery life, a new high-definition liquid crystal display (LCD) and rounded edges that make PS Vita even more comfortable to hold. PS Vita is the ultimate companion for any gamer with more than 1,000 games available and “Remote Play” with PlayStation 4, which allows most PS4 games to be streamed to the PS Vita system over a local Wi-Fi network. Pairing your PS Vita with your PS4 to use Remote Play is even simpler with last week’s system updates. The content library for PS Vita will become even richer when PlayStation Now support launches on the system later this year.

In addition to Borderlands 2, God of War and God of War II are available today for PS Vita as part of God of War Collection. And that’s not all for this month — Soul Sacrifice Delta launches on May 13 and Sly Cooper Collection launches on May 27.

May is a big month for Vita, right? Well it doesn’t end there, with Helldivers launching this summer and Minecraft, Metrico, Tales of Hearts R, Freedom Wars, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number all expected to release in 2014.

Hands-on the new with PS Vita

PS Vita’s new design has tons of tweaks and adjustments, aside from the obvious thinner design and weight reduction. The Start, Select, Power, and PS buttons have been raised slightly, making them easier to press. The grips on the back of the system have grown a bit, resulting in a more comfortable experience… and less accidental taps on the rear touch pad. The edges of the system are more rounded, which just feels better. The display is now LCD based, but I didn’t notice a dramatic difference in picture quality.

Are there really no background updates yet for Vita? That is one of the most annoying things on the system. I am pretty sure that feature would've enabled far more sales as you wouldn't get interrupted every time you head to the store.

It's now an accessory to the PS4 in Sony's eyes. I'm just glad third party support will carry it because sony aint got time for that.
