I want to cry like a little girl

So I updated the firmware in my TV *56HM195* via SDCARD... The TV prompted me to remove the card and then it reset itself a few times as expected... Then I unplugged the TV for a couple minutes per instruction and back in.

Now my TV is stuck at, "NOW BOOTING." So I called Toshiba and they gave me a number here in Overland Park... I called the number and they told me to leave it off for a FEW hours and to call back if it still doesn't work.

Now that it has been a few hours it still does the same thing... This is so depressing... I got all ambitious to do this update B/C I now have my other PC attached above the TV which will become the main entertainment center... I will watch my collection of movies from my PC *all of which are in at least 720p DD* I have optical outputs built into the MOBO which will go to my surround sound... An X850XTPE will feed the TV a signal through a DVI to HDMI converter... ATIs catalyst drivers finally have HDTV support which will be interesting to see how it works... Otherwise the people that have had success with this setup say Nvidia has better HDTV support... I will probably have to upgrade the video card to handle games at 720p

This is what I had to look forward to this weekend and now it's completely wrecked!!!

I want to crawl into a corner and cry like a little girl.

If it ain't broke; tweak it. I live by this and die by it

You are crying in the wrong forum, go to the Home Theater one:

PS: did you unplug TV from the power outlet, for at least 1hr or just turned it off?

When I turn it off it powers itself right back on... The only button that works is the power button... I left it unplugged for 3 hours.

Took me several years, but eventually I learned not to mess with something that works without any problems...

I know... The all warm and fuzzy feeling...
DarkSithPro- I should have learned that lesson... But somehow I keep blocking out my bad experiences like the severely abused step-child blocks out his\her bad memories.
Do they make medicine for our condition?

I called Toshiba and they gave me a number here in Overland Park to call *certified Toshiba repair shop* They will be here TODAY before noon... Sigh... But they will probably have to order parts or something. I have a feeling there will have to be a freakin miracle for them to get this thing working TODAY.

I did post at AVS forums... That's where I got the download from. My user-name there is ThroItInEr. Right now I am checking to see if there are any replies to my post I made there yesterday. There are some EXTREMELY knowledgeable people over there and friendly too.
