Question on AVIVO and Purevideo

Hi,
We all know that LCD monitors display blurry images at non-native resolution. So, does AVIVO/Purevideo upscale DVDs to 720p when viewed on a 16:9 LCD monitor? And one more question: Does the current desktop resolution affect video playback quality?

Yes it will determine what resolution the video is upscaled to, and I would advise trying the LCD @ 720p, and 768p, and choose the better one, because most LCD's and plasmas use 768p native resolution.
