    HP shows a Blu-Ray writer.

HP is now making nice with everyone, and the company is showing its first Blu-ray product, the HP bd135 Blu-ray Disc Writer, that is expected to ship in the spring.

"We already have an HD DVD writer," says HP's Courtney Coe. "We're in both camps. We want them both [HD DVD and Blu-ray] to be available."

    -Good stuff!

I seem to remember saying in another thread that HP was not HD-DVD exclusive. I bet CES and CeBIT will bring more product announcements.

No, what you remember is everyone telling you that at that moment you could order a HP machine with a HD-DVD drive and you couldn't order one with a BD player.

      Which is still true.

Is it me or does Joke and Coke always seem to be a chapter behind?

Actually no, I was stating that HP was not HD-DVD exclusive. This is just more proof that I was right. Only Toshiba is HD-DVD exclusive. While Apple, Dell, Sony, etc. are Blu-ray exclusive.

No, I originally stated that HD-DVD had support from Microsoft, Universal, and HP. The three biggest players are supporting HD-DVD and that is exactly what they needed. You jumped in and stated that HP also supported BD which was never my argument. You then posted a link to a HP BD product that never existed and then I posted a link to a HP machine that you could buy TODAY that you can add in a HD-DVD drive. You saying that HP supports Blu-Ray in this argument was pointless because it was never the agrument not to mention they had no product shipping at the moment(and still don't).
