Just not as cool as those ice shots. Nice job on those, especially #2 in the first set
Thanks.

Went to Henry Ford Museum today. Again I struggled with the lighting conditions.. I like the way things are lit and try to get the shots without flash. I need to do some work to figure out how to accomplish this better.. (one would be just me and no kids so I can take my time and possibly a tripod.)

Not a great shot with it behind glass but this is one of my all time favorite items on display at the museum.. This is the chair Lincoln was sitting in when he was assassinated by Booth.

Emmit, 2nd photo, bear tracks? Great comp on all of those by the way.
I really did not look at them closely as I was running around trying to snap as many photos as I can before I can get to my next location. Did not want to miss opportunities with the warm weather and snow on the ground with the steam. =)

Winter walk through the Bruce Trail in Halton Hills Ontario a few days after the big ice storm. It's one thing to witness the damage in the city but its crazy to see how much of the forest and lands had been affected as well.

Ive been wanting to get into that for a long time, my telescope I have now is shitty, although I can see Jupiter like that if look, its just horribly built and not good at all for photography.
The sun shot was on my WO-71 ED refractor, with Baader white light film. I had to use a .8x reducer to get the full disc on my camera. The camera used was a Imaging Source DMK41 mono. I shot 3 sets of 1500 pictures as an avi, took the best 1500 pictures after viewing them as .bmps and stacked them in a program called registax. I then deconvolved it a tiny bit in Pixinsight, and touched it up in PS.
Jupiter was shot with a Imaging Source DMK21 mono camera in LRGB with a 8" SCT. 4x 500 frames stacked. First time with the scope. I will improve on it.
The moon was with the DMK41 on a ES AR-127 achro. 2500 frames stacked.
M42 was done on a Skywatcher ED-80, with an Atik 314+L mono camera in Ha, Hb, SII, and O3 narrowband. Shot 10x 60 second shots with each filter and then combined them in Pixinsight using the Pixel math method. Ha + SII as red, O3 as green, and O3 + Hb as blue. Curves and levels stretched a little in PS.
