Saw this over the weekend. Talk about a poor use of charts. I can't even tell what is what using those colors. Too much data to make those charts. When will people learn...
Yeah, they're bad charts but from the gist of it, looks like 80% or so canon.
Well that's not really any kind of surprise is it? The "best photos" they're referencing are just from news stories, and we all know Canon's pretty much got the lock on media outlets. Nikon is making some headway though...
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself, your job and your background? I started working as a part-time photo editor for The Canadian Press while I was still in school. I continued to shoot for many years as a freelancer and doing things like hockey and baseball for CP in my early years. When I got … Continue reading "Interview with Graeme Roy, Director of News Photography for the Canadian Press"

Ya, they own photojournalism.
I guess I'm not too surprised at the 16-35 and 70-200 dominating the zoom lenses at 91% combined. I'd thought the 24-70 would be a top choice but it's barely a blip.
The man who in times of popular excitement boldly and unflinchingly resists hot-tempered clamor for an unnecessary war, and thus exposes himself to the opprobrious imputation of a lack of patriotism or of courage, to the end of saving his country from a great calamity, is, as to "loving and faithfully serving his country," at least as good a patriot as the hero of the most daring feat of arms, and a far better one than those who, with an ostentatious pretense of superior patriotism, cry for war before it is needed, especially if then they let others do the fighting. - Carl Schurz
At the top of this 200 foot waterfall is a pool where you can swim in. It was closed off but we went in and swam anyway. They call it a natural infinity pool.
The little pool on top where we swam sat on those rocks at the edge
Hana Highway.. awesome road to just cruise on. Pretty much on the coast of the island the whole time.

Hmmm, G.I.BRO, I like your shots. Black and white photos have something special. I look often for inspirations for my acrylpaintings - here I found it. Thanks for your photos, guys!
Als Deutsche auf dem Rage3D Board fühlt man sich ein wenig wie das Sauerkraut auf einem Marmelade-Erdnussbutter-Sandwich.

Bought a D600/kit this afternoon, will be here tomorrow afternoon $2k kit deal was just too good. Plus at amazon I get 6% back so really it's a $1880 kit.
I'll be losing my Sigma 30 1.4 and Siggy 10-20mm though .. And the D7K of coarse(if anyone is interested )
I'll have the kit lens and my Sigma 70-200 OS for awhile. It should cover my needs until the wife releases the clamps on the funds for this hobby.
