Also, I was accused by the owner of stealing that TV. So that's cool.
Please explain.
The man who in times of popular excitement boldly and unflinchingly resists hot-tempered clamor for an unnecessary war, and thus exposes himself to the opprobrious imputation of a lack of patriotism or of courage, to the end of saving his country from a great calamity, is, as to "loving and faithfully serving his country," at least as good a patriot as the hero of the most daring feat of arms, and a far better one than those who, with an ostentatious pretense of superior patriotism, cry for war before it is needed, especially if then they let others do the fighting. - Carl Schurz
Never see the lady. She leaves the key at the desk in the lobby.
Call her on the day we're checking out and ask what time she needs us out by. "House rules" said 11a.m., but she said we could stay all day since we had a night flight out. So we leave about 7:30p.m.
Then she calls while I'm flying and leaves a message that when she came in the next morning, the TV and VCR were missing. She gets a hold of me later on when I actually get back to OK, and she asks me some questions like did I see anyone around the place, did I lock the door (door shuts and locks on its own), etc. and I answer them all and say there was people working on the building (painting) and they had laid down paper across the balcony. She says she filed a police report so I'm like, "Cool."
Then I check my airbnb page and she left me a nasty review about how she was nice and let me stay late and then I stole her TV. So I call her and inform her I'm not impressed, and I ask if she's heard anything from the police or if anything showed up on security cameras. She says no, and that I should just send her money for the TV, and I inform her I'm not paying for something I don't have, and I hang up. Then I call airbnb and let them know what's going on, and they remove her review from my page. That was yesterday.

Since we are on the subject of Manhattan, I was wondering
if someone knows a good site for historical pics?
In particular, a Zeppelin pic where you see NY Harbor and there
are MANY HUUUUGE ocean liners, side by side, in their wharfs...
13 to 19 are awesome, where were they shot? the place looks great, you're in the uk right?
i ask because im working on something and that would a nice location for one of the scenes i have in mind.
UK yup. 13 was shot in Stoke-On-Trent in one of the old potteries factories but I can't say where 19 was shot as it's covered by the official secrets act but from experience there are many walkways/shelters and tunnels etc that have a similar look to them too. You just need to set up the lighting for effect
Emmet Otter - Thanks! Your ones look like images I'd expect to see on framed posters on sale on art sites and stores - Great colours and scenes, peaceful looking!

did you have to get permission then? pondering how much trouble i would get filming something down a similar place without asking.
Some sites yes, other sites no. Since you're not breaking and entering but using publicly accessible routes for many places nobody I know of has had any criminal charges put on them even though caught on MOD sites, just a slapped wrist for being caught.
Razeus, don't be afraid to lose a bit of his scalp when composing. Really fill up the frame when doing a portrait. That's what I like to do when doing portraits imo.

I'm going to try that next session. As well as work on my skin smoothing techniques.
