Amazon shuts down after 25 years

Amazon has plans to lay off at least 27,000 workers this year, including 9,000 that were announced in an internal email Monday morning. One unexpected casualty: Digital Photography Review, also known as DPReview, is losing its entire editorial staff, and the site will stop publishing on April 10.

Back before camera phones got really good I was all over this site for a nice point and shoot. Sad to see them go but hopefully the folk will find a home elsewhere as mirror less cameras are still a thing. So camera folk where will be your new go to site?

It's a shame really. A wealth of information there not just from reviews but the user forums.

Some guys are trying to get an alternative up and going as far as the community goes. Of course they'll never recover the years of info.
