I saw an article (from Motley Fool) saying that 10 mega-whales hold 64% of all Shiba tokens. Seems like the only ones that are going to get rich off of it are those guys, right?

Reason: upated percentage to reflect 11/10 data from coinmarketcap.com)
A mysterious Ethereum ($ETH) whale known as “Gimli” has kept on accumulating the meme-inspired cryptocurrency Shiba Inu ($SHIB) by adding $1.7 million more to his portfolio, now worth over $47 million.

The Ethereum whale’s move was first spotted by WhaleStates, which noted the 31.3 billion SHIB tokens the whale purchased were then worth around $1.73 million.

This jizz shot is going down. Already lost a G in 3 days. Dafuq!
Welcome to organized gambling controlled by whales Remember, all crypto is a ponzi scheme -- the only one that has a tangible value is BTC, and I even question that sometimes.

Up 20% one day down 20% the next this **** is so volatile its nuts. But sometimes it bulls and it worth waiting a year or 2 for when that happens.
I think things will work out well in the long run. I put in $700 a couple of years back and now on $13000, I was thinking the other day if I was single I would have been a millionaire now as I would have put in a whole lot more money but rather decided to buy a house lol. But hey, I look at it as free money

Same. If I had put in the money I had in 2017 in BTC instead of doing a mortgage. I would have 13 million dollar homes right now and I could rent out 12 of them and dick around all day playing video games.

Theres things that can work out in 5-10 years. If Ripple/XRP settles its sec case and banks continue to adopt it... Theres coins with utility and right now its gaming coins with sand being taken up by Ubisoft. I can imagine a small bullrun there if a pubg or fortnight gets financial crypto incentive to play and earn with a large user base.

hmm... I opened up a Binance account back in 2017 and bought about $500 of BCH (now worth a whopping $150). I have the email confirmations for the account and the transaction.
Now it seems that my account is disappeared. It looks like at some point Binance split, and now there's a special USA Binance that's separate from the rest of the world. It says I have 6 days to withdraw everything out or else it'll be gone forever, but doesn't seem to have any transaction history for me. Those bitches.
---
Luckily the Ethereum I bought at the same time is up 10x, and coinbase still seems to work properly.

All that said, I'll have good news for the #shibarmy this week. Going back into quiet mode to finish up.

Nestled between a junkyard and a cedar mill in the rural community of Saint-André is the spot where developers expect nearly one per cent of the world's bitcoin will be mined.
For the last several months, the Vancouver-based company Hive Blockchain Technologies has been building four highly specialized warehouses that will host thousands of computers.
Those individual computers are known as "miners," and they run 24 hours a day to make their owners bitcoin.
"When this facility is complete, we'll have about 18,000 of these machines operating," said Aydin Kilic, the president and chief operating officer of Hive. "It's almost one per cent of the entire bitcoin mining network is going to be right here in Saint-André."

They should spend the money on buying solar/wind power, not only for planet hippy crap, but also more profit
that sounds like a huge waste of tax payers dollars
theres no shortage of unused hydro electricity in atlantic canada and quebec.
Hydro quebec alone has something like 176TW hours of "reserve" hydro-electric capacity(almost 1.5 times the entire capacity of the 6 new england states)
With electric cars that extra capacity wont go unused soon. Not mentioned in the article is the company has to build extra 70 MW of power generation in cooperation with the provincial utility. That was told to us locally... Probably a few extra windmills but Im hoping for the rumored increased hydro project that was planned to create ~100 extra mw of generation.
Im just wondering with the altcoins going to proof of stake what would happen to this investment if bitcoin did the same.

I'm talking about the bitcoin miner you cheeto , why would tax dollars be used for private power generation .
You're not going to get free electric from the government to mine bitcoins.
If you have a huge bitcoin farm + you own all the free electric you have 100% profit minus the trivial costs etc.

what is the trivial cost for a huge farm in up front capital? millions? 10s of millions? Or just call up the provincial hydro co and say hook me up and let the water flow. Granted it might become profitable in years to do so
Really? Over 15,000 cryptos, 99% are junk including Shib, but that's the one we talk about!?
I still see a lot of FUD about bitcoin energy use. I wish people would wake up and do some research for their own good, their own freedom, and for the good of all mankind. Chinese social credit is coming for all of us and Bitcoin is honestly the only hope I see.
