Took a trek out to my local Target this morning. Yes, I wore a mask. They had lots of TP and paper towels, especially big packs.

TP isn't a problem anymore, but good luck finding sanitizer or 70%+ alchohol.

he said he is not a doctor but was surprised how UV rays effect covid.

UV rays are being used on different sanitation machines and robots.

Having said this, I can totally see UV lights used between hot and cold sections of hospitals

Add on top of that, that after a person passes away, they can't even hold a proper funeral due. My Step Mom's brother died 3 days ago from a stroke, and as she said, we will hopefully have a memorial or something after this COVID-19 is resolved...

It just plain sucks! Can't say your proper goodbyes as family, and nobody can really have memorials for friends to say goodbye or show their respect. Terrible times.

Mother in law is in a nursing home and tested positive. No symptoms after a week though, maybe she's one of the lucky asymptomatic ones? Time will tell.

Basically, she shrugged. Or it was a false positive. But given that the place has people in it that are experiencing symptoms, that seems unlikely.

Dude, my great grandpa drank whisky every day, and smoked until he was 94. Some people are just immune to everything.

My great great grandpa lived until I was 5. He would sit around and do something called snuff all day which was some form of chewing or pipe tobacco I think. I think he was in his late 90s when he passed. Apparently they don't make us like they used too!

I mean, right now they're pretty much testing everything to see if something sticks, so who knows. Think it was binding of nicotine to similar receptors or something and blocking cytokine storms. I'm most likely misremembering parts of the science behind it as it's been a few days since I've read bits and pieces of the How and Why.


Also on another note, the antibody testing might not be as accurate as stated. Just something to keep in mind.

But on the off chance that someone we know might hear what [edit: some guy in a position of authority on public health emergencies] said and think it's a plausible cure, no... injecting disinfectant or sunlight will not cure the Covid-19 virus.

Also, it was previously suggested that hydroxychloroquine was showing promise as a potential treatment for the disease. This was pushed heavily by [edit: insert cable TV entertainment network here] in the U.S. as well as the [edit: some guy in a position of authority on public health emergencies]. Some studies have since shown that this might be killing people and doing zero to help patients.

[edit: some guy in a position of authority on public health emergencies] has also been pushing remdesivir as a potential treatment as well. It remains to be seen if this proves to be a successful treatment, but so far the first real study seems to be proving to be less than promising.

So my mom has been pleading with the embassy to let her come see her mother, and they said min 14 days quarantine if she does. My Grandmother will die alone, and they said they can't hold the body, so there can be no funeral. I feel so bad for my mom right now. From what I understand the borders are pretty much shut down. We're from Northern Italy about 45 min SW of Venice. If she could get into France she might be able to get there, but international travel is pretty much shut down anyway.

If you can advance facts about the subject without injecting your opinion, then yes,
that is the point.

However you have to check the balance of your references as well.

Getting back to the VA tests of H+A, I could not help but notice that H+A
reduced the number of ventilation by half compared with H only or no drugs.
They do not mention of patients had previously had an EKG as both
HCQ and Az have a prolonged Q-T in heart beat as side effect.

The original French study was very clear that an EKG and identifying a normal
heartbeat was a pre requisite.

A disappointing fact about that study is that they claim no effect en ventilation which is not true by the results.
