Actually, what he said is wrong, and is one of the reasons the term "love yourself and be who you are" became a thing because of the misconception that weight is always controllable and people using terms to degrade them for something outside their control. Many people see an over weight person and automatically assumes it's on purpose. But as he said not the place to talk about it.

Your right, because if I said what I wanted to say, The way it's in my head, I would probably be banned instantly. So I respond, read it and realize it isn't what I mean, so I edit it till it to comes out correctly and get the point across. And sometimes that takes a while. However, The ignorance towards over weight people is disgusting.

I have tried the preview button, and half the time it double posts what I type, so quit.

My mom works at the local medical clinic in my home town, at the front desk. She checks in the patients. She sent me a text this morning saying today they are being overwhelmed with CV testing. Sounds like it's ramped up bigtime this week. She seems concerned, and it seems like endless people coming through the door. They have cancelled regular appointments and casual checkups.

Hope she pulls through this OK. They have a 6ft barrier in front of the desk, and she wears a mask/gloves now all day. They also screen patients before coming in the door.

After telling the world that it would donate masks, face guards and testing equipment to Italy, China quietly backtracked and sold the Mediterranean country desperately-needed medical equipment, according to a report.

What's worse is that the personal protective equipment (PPE) China forced Italy to buy was actually the same PPE Italy donated to China before coronavirus rushed its own shores and killed nearly 16,000 people.

Dr. Sudip Bose, medical director for Odessa Fire Rescue and EMS services, weighs in on ‘America’s News HQ.’

"Before the virus hit Europe, Italy sent tons of PPE to China to help China protect its own population. China then has sent Italian PPE back to Italy -- some of it, not even all of it ... and charged them for it," a senior Trump administration official told The Spectator.

Beijing taking advantage of Italy's generosity and then flipping it into something more sinister is just the latest example of the country's misdeeds amid the global outbreak.

Thousands of other supplies and testing kits China has sold to other countries at marked-up prices have turned out to be defective.

Spain had to return 50,000 quick-testing kits to China after discovering they weren't working properly. Last week, the Netherlands also rejected China-made coronavirus testing kits and protective gear, calling them substandard and questioning the quality of supplies Beijing is selling to the world.

Turkey, Georgia and the Czech Republic have also spoken out about kits it purchased from China as being less than adequate. In some cases, instead of fixing the issue, China has blamed user error.

"The disinformation that China has put out is crippling responses around the world...We're operating on some level with a hand tied behind our back."

The claims of faulty devices come as the number of confirmed coronavirus cases and deaths continue to surge around Europe and the United States, underscoring the dependence many countries have on Chinese imports.

"It's so disingenuous for Chinese officials now to say we are the ones who are helping the Italians or we are the ones who are helping the developing world when, in fact, they are the ones who infected all of us," the senior administration official said. "Of course they should be helping. They have a special responsibility to help because they are the ones who began the spread of the coronavirus and did not give the information required to the rest of the world to plan accordingly."

The official said China's decision to delay and suppress critical data has turned a bad situation worse.

On Thursday, Vice President Pence said that had China been truly transparent about COVID-19, there would be "no question" the world would have been in a better place to respond to the monster virus that has infected more than a million people and killed more than 70,000 worldwide.

"There's simply no question that China's lack of candor to the world impacted the way the world was able to respond," Pence said.

In fact, as China downplayed the outbreak within its borders, nearly half a million people traveled to the United States, possibly carrying the virus with them.

"The disinformation that China has put out is crippling responses around the world," the administration official said. "We were a month behind because the Chinese did not share information. It's hard for the world to accept that even the information that they're putting out now is accurate and acceptable from an epidemiological standpoint. We're operating on some level with a hand tied behind our back."

It'll be interesting to see those graphs updated over the next few weeks. Problem with hockey-stick curves is that it's hard to say how high the growth is going to go before it levels out.

Also, what happened in the 2017-2018 flu season that killed so many extra people? There's gotta be an explanation for that big green hump.

Except their behavior has been especially egregious on this novel coronavirus issue. Faux News has been actively and willfully lying to the public as a part of their coordination on political campaign messaging for the Republican party. As a result, more people are likely going to be dying from this than was necessary.

My understanding from reporting is that people who go onto ventilators are basically flipping a coin at that point on whether or not they recover.

A spokesman said he was moved on the advice of his medical team and is receiving "excellent care".

Mr Johnson has asked Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab to deputise "where necessary", the spokesman added.

The prime minister, 55, was admitted to hospital in London with "persistent symptoms" on Sunday.

It continued: "The PM is receiving excellent care, and thanks all NHS staff for their hard work and dedication."

Chancellor Rishi Sunak said his thoughts were with the prime minister and his pregnant partner, Carrie Symonds, and that Mr Johnson would "come out of this even stronger".

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer described it as "terribly sad news".

"All the country's thoughts are with the prime minister and his family during this incredibly difficult time," he added.

Mr Johnson was initially taken to hospital for routine tests after testing positive for coronavirus 10 days ago. His symptoms included a high temperature and a cough.

basically it seems what happens is

you get it, you have no symptoms for up to 14 days max

you develop mild symptoms this can last a week+

You either hold with mild symptoms and start to get better and recover, or you deteriorate.

You are now in the hospital and on standard oxygen, you either start to improve and recover and are sent home or you deteriorate.

You are now in ICU and on a ventilator, you either recover after a few weeks or you die, and the odds are not good.
