I get that right now a lot of doctors are leaning away from prescribing Covid-19 tests simply because there just aren't enough for anyone to get tested unless they're already pretty critical, but I do wonder if our profit-motivated and driven healthcare system is avoiding recommending testing because on an individual case-by-case basis, the insurance company would prefer that it not be coronavirus right now so they can make profits in the margins (the people who have it, but aren't confirmed, and therefore potentially fall outside of what's covered by the government).
