National guard can be deployed at state level, though, right? PA has some of the more stringent restrictions in the US now, with the latest round today, so they're probably closer to an enforced full lockdown than most other states (maybe with the exception of Washington state).

National Guard here has been gathering at the big depots in HUGE numbers. Just waiting for them to mobilze. My friend owns a lumber company near one of them, and he said it's like an endless parade of military vehicles the past 2 days.

Gov Ducey activates National Guard, places restrictions on businesses

Most notably, Ducey activated the National Guard to help out grocery stores and food banks with high demand.

Ducey also issued an executive order that stops all elective surgeries in the state to "free up medical resources and maintain the capacity for hospitals." The order also requires restaurants in counties with a confirmed case of the coronavirus to provide only dine-out options, closes bars, movie theaters and gyms. Restaurants will also be allowed to deliver alcohol to customers with a food purchase. Also, part of Ducey's order was delaying expiration dates on Arizona driver's licenses.

The job I work at announced they won't shut down unless somebody at work tests positive for Covid-19 or the governor calls for a 2 week shut down. At least the paychecks will keep coming, just hope nobody gets sick (over 500 people in the building).

State of emergency being declared in almost all provinces now the only step left being martial law... been reading the text and its already pretty strict. Fines and jail terms if new rules not obeyed.

But they are testing so few. And info being released runs the gamut of its contagious if you do something as simple as breathe out your germs to its pretty much only contagious if you touch a contaminated surface.

Daily gov press briefings that used to answer lots of questions now only allow one follow up to a presentation item.

The province has scaled back on how much it wants to share with the public about its response to the coronavirus and related problems.

Information about COVID-19 is delivered at a short daily health briefing by Dr. Jennifer Russell and Premier Blaine Higgs.

But on Wednesday, reporters were allowed to ask only one question each and were not allowed to follow up, even when the answers were confusing or incomplete.

Bruce Macfarlane, the spokesperson for the Health Department, brought the briefing to an end without explanation.

So what if it's for sex with your significant other? That's a biological need imo and it will come up in the US in the next few weeks. So it's a lot more than just an amusing thought. There will be lawsuits over the issue as with other issues if people are prevented from doing urgent tasks during shelter in place.

A teacher there tested positive yesterday. They doing a mapping investigation and getting with all the people they think she was in contact with.

Yaz works as a Cafeteria Mom, and she's been coughing for a week (thinks it's allergies) and got sick yesterday with a fever.

Evan had a mild cold last Friday and Gabbs got moderately sick starting on Sunday. Both kids are on the mend.

So, I'm sitting here on my 30 gallons of mayonnaise being all proud of my foresight and preparation, and yet, the killer may already be in the house.

my point (if I had one, I'm not sure), i guess i should say my thoughts, were more along the lines of thinking that more educated people/groups are not immune from spreading information of questionable accuracy amongst themselves.

You need to read up on FEMA, might not even be the President that does it, but the Feds and do what they want in your state. Not saying they will mind you. Don't put those words in my mouth. Juts saying the more you know the more informed you are.
