The plus side > fully vaccinated. She’s running a fever, but no other symptoms so far, so hopefully it stays that way. Me….Still have a hard time catching my breath, but the fever is gone and the fatigue seems to be letting up.

Evidence for Biological Age Acceleration and Telomere Shortening in COVID-19 Survivors

The results show a consistent biological age increase in the post-COVID-19 population, determining a DeltaAge acceleration of 10.45 &#177; 7.29 years (+5.25 years above the range of normality) compared with 3.68 &#177; 8.17 years for the COVID-19-free population (p < 0.0001). A significant telomere shortening parallels this finding in the post-COVID-19 cohort compared with COVID-19-free subjects (p < 0.0001). Additionally, ACE2 expression was decreased in post-COVID-19 patients, compared with the COVID-19-free population, while DPP-4 did not change. In light of these observations, we hypothesize that some epigenetic alterations are associated with the post-COVID-19 condition, particularly in younger patients (< 60 years).

Just got my booster, third Moderna shot. No aftereffect for now.

Was able to connect my phone to my small antenna so the 5g signal really is much stronger now.

My wife and I are getting the boosters scheduled a few days after we’re in the clear. We want all the protection we can get from this thing.

Her symptoms are staying fairly mild thankfully. Me…feeling better every day.

Lots of people in the UK and Canada mixed AstraZeneca with Pfizer/Moderna (which are basically interchangeable).

I got 2 vaccinations of pfizer and then opted to get the moderna booster. Moderna did knock me out for 24 hours... slept alot and muscles were sore, but was fine the following day.

I should prepare myself for this eventuality.
Im double shot with pfizer but around here it seems like theres moderna boosters aplenty but pfizer boosters are several weeks out and even then theres a line of people waiting for it. So its gonna take a miracle to even get a pfizer booster anytime soon...might just bite the bullet and just get a moderna booster.

I think i would have been be a bit more hesitant since moderna used a higer dosage normally (pfizer used 30mg ingredient for each shot, moderna i think was 100mg) but it seems like the moderna booster is 50mg, so i just want to know if its fine to mix and match.

Yes, it's fine to mix them. They're basically the same as far as your immune system is concerned.

Moderna is not recommended for younger men (~15-30) due to an elevated risk of heart inflammation, so that might explain why people want to avoid it. However, this caution does not to apply to females, or prepubescent and older males. I'm actually hoping for a Moderna booster (after two Pfizers), because Moderna's efficacy seems to be holding up better in the long term studies. I'd definitely go for a Moderna booster if you're over 30.

Owner of the shop I work at tested positive so everyone else tested and we are the only two. I have a bit of a tingle in the back of my throat, but it goes away fast after I wake up in the morning.

Oh I already thanked him. Best part we were evicted from the building and bought a new shop. No fault of our own, the company that owns the building wanted more space. Now we can't even move the shop which we started Christmas week lol.

Same has been the case for almost every vaccinated person I know that tested positive lately. Just very minor symptoms that clear up in about 5 days.

The unvaccinated people I know that got it however, not so good. The most severe case I know, one of my wife's friends was infected in mid December and is still sick. He had to go to the hospital for a week to be on oxygen. He's home now (they sent him home with oxygen tank) but is still not recovered. Its looking more like he caught the older strain (delta likely).

That is exactly how I felt last week. Thought I had a sinus infection. Hope I didn't have it, because I just went about life as usual. Nobody in the house had any issues either, so prob just was my sinus acting up. Hell who knows these days.

Yeah, and should have mentioned the only reason she even took the test is because she was exposed to someone at her work that was sick. She apparently caught it, but thankfully very minor symptoms.

Never can say for sure, but we confidently assume the vaccination made the difference.

Not really, the vaccines sort of did their job in reducing mortality/illness (from Covid). They do almost nothing for transmission especially as time goes by (look at Gibraltar, Ireland and Israel) so they had to tweak their messaging on that one.

However, the booster does almost nothing vs Omicron. People are being lied to when it comes to the booster in regards to Omicron. Thankfully Omicron appears to be an even more effective vaccine as it seems like it's low risk and highly contagious. *There's still delta around though so if you are concerned about Covid don't get too cocky yet.
