I've not seen anything like it before; apparently it's been updating since it was first created in Feb. Will watch for Omicron takeover.

Lots more information about mutations, genetic sequencing... the weeds about what makes a variant a variant. I like to read it and pretend I understand it.

LEDUC – As part of ongoing pandemic response measures, national coffee chain Tim Hortons has confirmed that employees will not be allowed to spit into the Iced Capp machine until they’ve had two doses of an approved Covid vaccine.

I read initially Moderna was going with 50 micro grams in the booster, but I think I saw they decided to go full 100. Either way a single dose even at 50 contains just 10 micro grams less than both of the initial pfizer shots combined.

The primary shot(s) for Moderna is 0.5 mL with 100 mcg in it. The booster is 0.25 mL, so that would mean 50 mcg of the rna magic in it.

I got my 2 shots of Moderna 29 days apart back in May and June. I am scheduled to get a booster on December 9th. My wife gets hers on December 4th. I will let you know how it goes for us and if its a reduced dose or not. In Canada, its supposed to be a half dose.

Agreed. The side effects are usually related to the immune response, so more side effects = greater immune response. I'm happy I responded, but not happy about the effects. Though in the long run, just like you said, if it means I don't die and stay out of the hospital I'll suffer for a day or two.

so apparently there's a doctor on youtube (john campbell) who disagrees with CDC's guidelines for immunization.

he said that the person administering vaccine shots should be drawing back on the plunger to make sure no blood comes out, which the CDC says is not necessary.

i'm wondering how many of you had the person giving the shot pull the syringe plunger to make sure the vaccine isn't going directly into a vein, or something.

My wife and both took Pfizer for all three shots, besides extremely rare Myocarditis, renal failure and skin rash we run no risk of blood-clotting.
