Yep this variant is spreading like wild fire. Several family members went to FL and now have the COVID. Also unvaxed.
The guy that I had my covid scare with is on his way back from FL now. None of them are fully vaccinated. He has his first shot. They're going to be really lucky if they don't all get it.
will my Father got sick 3 days ago and had a very mild heart attack yesterday
light elevated enzymes but no damage shows on all the scans
and he feels fine now
but he popped positive for covid yesterday when he went in
he had to pick it up at his kidney dialysis center st it is the only place he has been
and i'm still negative for covid as of 1pm today but I am sure I will get it as they are sending him home tomorrow or Monday
they are going to change his heart meds
they say he has no covid symptoms at this time and he is vaccinated so we will see
as of today after the negative test i'm still sucking down Zicam lozenges and spray and lots of juice like a cold or flu
Hes had his 2 shots I wouldnt worry too much. The chance of serious illness is as close to 0 with 2 shots as any vaccine can give you. Last I read it was 99.99% chance of no need of hospitalization with 2 shots.

I really hate this year
Sorry Bill.
Just remember that its often 3-5 days between infection and having a high enough viral load to test positive. If I were you I'd proceed as though your test was a false negative. Glad you're wearing a mask. For yourself, and for those around you.
Oh don't worry, it's not an STD... it's just red from the spanking.
The rash seems to be letting up. No other symptoms, so who knows. She was going to get a test, but they said the lab is so backed up it will be a while for the results. I guess a rapid test would work, but since she's fine otherwise, she didn't bother.
I haven't been on this board for 9 months+. And I will most likely not be back again anytime soon. But I logged in to tell people to vaccinate and wear masks. This virus doesn't care who you are. It doesn't care your beliefs, it doesn't care your political affiliation. It doesn't care if you are rich or poor. It will come for you if you don't do the right thing.
Why am I saying this:
I lost one of two brothers to Covid on June 26 of this year, he was 54 years old. My other brother (57 years old) is currently in the Hospital in critical condition, incubated, on a ventilator, fight for his life from COVID, after being unresponsive Thursday morning when his wife went to wake him. And now, today My mom (75 years old) is in the hospital with COVID pneumonia. She is on oxygen, and they are administering medication. I have other family members who also have contracted COVID, including myself. It most likely happened at my nieces wedding, or my brother's funeral. (funeral was postponed till after the wedding). I am fine, I just have a slight cough now after having a week of bad cold symptoms mixed with light flu like symptoms..
My brother that died, was not vacinnated, but he could not take the vaccine due to medical reasons. My other brother, was not vaccinated, but he is one of the people who believed the consipiracy and disinformation, it may cost him his life. My mother, also was not vaccinated, also due to medical reasons. (her doctor changed his tune, and now says she should get it, after months of telling her not too)... myself, and many of my family members are vaccinated.. so our symptoms are light.
I did not come here for sympathy, or pity. I came here to tell people that I had spent years talking with, all though I never met, to stop with the denials, the conspiracies, and being stupid (for who ever that applies to).. Mask up, no matter what, and get vaccinated.
I don't want ANYONE, even my enemies to ever go thru what my family has been and is going thru. It's a pain I can't describe, and don't wish on anyone.
So, if you are still questioning masks (yes they are uncomfortable as hell), if you are still refusing to take the vaccine.. step back, look at your family, your kids, your wife, brother's, sisters, mom, dad, aunts uncles... ask yourself: Are you ready for them to be gone tomorrow? Because if you continue to choose not to mask up and get vaccinated, you saying you are okay with them being gone.
Take it from me, it's something you don't want to experience.
Till next time, take care, be safe, and be smart.
~NWR_Midnight aka Daniel.
edit: P.S. My condolences, and sympathy to all that have or are going thru simular. Bill, sorry for what you are going thru right now.

@NWR_Midnight - I am so sorry for you and your family. You have my condolences. Thank you for sharing your story with us. I really do hope the folks who have not yet got vaccinated (or perhaps can refer a resistant family member/friend to your story) can take this to heart.

That right there is why people need to be stop being so stupid and bullheaded about this. Sorry about your brother dude, and I hope the rest make it. I'll say a prayer for your family tonight.
NWR - thank you for sharing your story. I'm so sorry you're going through what you are. I have family members that need to read your story and I am going to refer them to it.

Meanwhile my facebook feed is full of idiots saying, "ma rights". Well at what point do your rights cross over into mine? Jesus help these idiots.
Protecting their kids from wearing a mask in school, and not getting them vaccinated. Kids are dying from it now, and I'm just done with their bullshit.
Gotta say, I continue to really struggle with keeping my emotions in check on this. I honestly feel that the stress is shortening my lifespan. Dealing with anti-vax at work, at church, at home (extended family).
Now knowing that being vaccinated does not prevent my vaccinated family from being able to catch and spread the virus is just piling on. Instead of feeling protected, I'm back to my pre-vaccine mentality of policing masks and distancing. Telling my wife we really shouldn't invite others to family birthday parties, help out with school transportation / carpools, etc. And worrying about my vaccinated kids returning to school next week.

Just delete them. Maybe if they notice a whole bunch of people doing the same it might change their minds. And plus, it makes life easier for you not having to read the stupidity.
I got tired ot reading all the anti-Covid stuff so I just started deleting people off of my friend list. Now my feed is better.

No amount of arguing or scientific evidence will change their minds; I have seen videos of people struck with COVID in hospital beds doubling down on their anti-vaccine stances.

I have a lot of friends, but there are six of us that have been together since we were 6 years old. Half of them refuse it. I pray for them. Love them like brothers, but damn...
