Never watched much of either Community or Better Call Saul so it's time for those.
Gawd bless 'em, Fox Sports KC is re-running the Royals' 2014 crazy play-off streak where they won a come-from-behind 12-inning barn-burner against the A's in the WC game then won another seven in a row before running into Madison Bumgarner and the Giants in the Series. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

This is the background for the Debbie Harry scene s1e3 of High Fidelity.
It's basically the garage-band version of what would later be Heart of Glass, and it's an awesome piece of music for an awesome scene. I'm really loving this show.
Da'Vine Joy Randolph is a force in this. (She's an alum of another favorite of mine, the little known People of Earth, though that was a small role). When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

I started The Last Kingdom (Netflix 2015) and really enjoyed the start. Wasn't a big fan of the huge time skips as I would have loved to see episode 1 stretched to maybe 3 or more episodes. But it was not a huge huge problem as it gets on with it quick.
Episode 6 was a big problem for me and I just turned it off before the episode even finished. Main character goes from a brash, impulsive, but otherwise honorable person to an unjust murderer and lowlife.
He agrees to help a settlement clear out some bandits (danes) in exchange for silver. Sees that the bandits are too tough to fight and joins forces with those bandits to kill all the fighting men from the settlement he promised to help. Strike one.
Doesn't even bat an eye when his bandit friend kills a king, despite him saying he would not. Doesn't even care that he just stole all the silver from this small settlement that has no men left. Strike two.
So he returns home with a dark-hairded queen he just picked up because.... mysterious reasons...spooky...enchanting??? Who the **** knows? And tells his wife to sod off and basically tries to get out of his son's life because he's baptized? Now he's with this new queen because of course they love each other now or something? What in the ****? Strike three.
I have no desire to watch a show with somebody so morally reprehensible as the main character. Not only that but the arc they set up with the arranged wife could have provided a whole season worth of drama. That and they keep jumping about forward through time and Uhtred keeps doing ****ing same dumb things makes me quit the show.
Maybe I expected the wrong thing from this show but the first 3 episodes were awesome. Going to try Vikings next.Last edited by nutcrackr; May 4, 2020, 04:08 AM.

Can't believe I missed out! Easily the absolute best superhero tv show I have ever seen.“Are you at all concerned, as Trump said, that we cannot let the cure be worse than the problem itself?” Haines asked.

Finished Westworld Season 3... loved it.
Finished Dead to Me Season 2... it's great (if totally implausible with all of the coincidences, but that just makes it more fun.)A hobbiest foundry and forge in progress, plans, suppliers, showcasing ideas

We added Runaways on Disney+ to our Psych and Magnificent Seven shows. So we now have Funny, Action and Weird.“Are you at all concerned, as Trump said, that we cannot let the cure be worse than the problem itself?” Haines asked.

Started Upload on Amazon video. slow start but it starts to pull itself together a few episodes in."Yes, but God has the right to get away with anything. Shoot animals, make ugly women, allow the existence of religious nuts, and watch liederhosen-wearing midget poodle-licking pornography. God's a sick bastard." - OzzieBloke

Added the new Ghost in the Shell, Netflix's new anime in to the mix. Not a bad show but the epic slow mo lingering nude shots during the intro are kind of off putting.“Are you at all concerned, as Trump said, that we cannot let the cure be worse than the problem itself?” Haines asked.

Wrapping up "For Life" on ABC. Really stinking good. Can't wait for season 2. (ABC better renew this one)
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

Huzzah!!
We also started watching The Great the other day. Only 1 episode in, but looking forward to the rest. It's fun.
Watched Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt - Bandersnatch Edition last night. If you miss the show you'll have a good time. The branchiness is limited.A hobbiest foundry and forge in progress, plans, suppliers, showcasing ideas

Finished the latest season of The Expanse, good **** as always.
Finished up to Part 2 of Money Heist, first story arc is done. Excellent show.
Rewatching Better Off Ted and lamenting that it only lasted 2 seasons. Still good after all these years.
Think I'll go back to Money Heist and watch the rest. Either that or finally get around to season 2 of Altered Carbon, or Westworld season 3. Damnit. Too much to watch.“On a lonely planet spinning its way toward damnation amid
the fear and despair of a broken human race, who is left to fight for all
that is good and pure and gets you smashed for under a fiver? Yes, it’s
the surprising adventures of me, Sir Digby Chicken-Caesar!”

I picked a perfect time to catch up on a series I should have watched a loooooong time ago. Just finished binge watching all 7 seasons of the Clone Wars over the last few weeks. What a great experience that has rejuvenated my love for Star Wars again. The last 4 episodes in Season 7 were just perfect Star Wars gold.
