Started watching The Rain (netflix) and it's pretty good so far as a YA post apocalyptic series. One thing I don't understand is how the rain works when there is moisture in the air or how people roam about when it looks like it could rain any minute. Maybe they'll explain that later. I'd be wearing a poncho 24/7 outside.

The Witcher. Love it cause it certainly reminds me of Witcher 3. Has that old school "geeky fantasy vibe" to it.
Still watching Big Bang Theory with the girlfriend but we're already almost done with Season 10. Got to find a new series to watch later.
Watching Friends for the zillionth time and watch Mindhunter S2 from time to time. Newest season of Rick and Morty doesn't disappoint, but I find I don't laugh as much at the jokes like I used to with prior seasons.
Looking forward to Lost in Space S2.

Just ran out of seasons of stuff to watch lately...
- 5/5 - Chernobyl (HBO) - Brilliant ****ing show. I cannot recommend this highly enough. I've loved everything about this show and to me it's worth the price of an HBO subscription just on its own. Except episode 4. **** that episode. I've watched this series 3 times now start-to-finish and I still fast forward through a lot of Episode 4.
- 4/5 - Marvelous Mrs Maisel (Amazon Prime) - Definitely recommended if you need something to watch with a missus. Good dialogue and a funny show.
- 3/5 - Watchmen (HBO) - I really liked where they were going with it up until the last episode. Now I feel like they simply don't understand one of the main characters from the graphic novel. If you watched the movie (Watchmen) and liked it, expect more of the same, just a little less "gritty" for whatever that's worth.
- 5/5 - The Witcher (Netflix) - Loved the show. I can understand some of the complaints, but having read the books and played the games, it makes sense that the first season would feel a bit disjointed in the story telling since it borrows from short stories that setup or are referenced by the upcoming novels. Storytelling should be a lot easier from here on out.
- 3/5 - His Dark Materials (HBO) - If you've seen the movie The Golden Compass you'll get the gist of the story, though this does adhere pretty closely to the books as well, it does the job of setting up the next seasons without purposefully trying to do something unique for the sake of being unique.
- 4/5 - The Mandalorian (Disney+) - A better Star Wars story than any of the last few films. A fun action adventure set with a bit of a Western lone gunslinger tone that does drop a few TV "trope" cringe moments here but doesn't let this drag it down too much.

We started "His Dark Materials".
I can't put my finger on exactly why, but in spite of the cast and obviously high production value, it just didn't pique my interest at all. I quit before the end of the first episode.
Normally I'm a sucker for that kind of fantasy world. This just felt forced and boring.

The Messiah seems pretty good so far on Netflix. It has a homeland (seasons 1-4) feel to it. Just finished with the Witcher and Altered Carbon (also good shows)."Ok to lose to opponent, must not lose to fear!"

After years, I finally got wifey to watch Breaking Bad. She loves crime stuff, so I don't know what the problem was. I think she only resisted because I loved it so much.
She almost gave up after the first episode, but I prodded her to stick with it, knowing the hydroflouric acid bathtub scenes were in ep2. This was yesterday.
I think she just started s3e1 about a half hour ago. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

For me, the show is doing an excellent job portraying how easily our world can spin off into social chaos, and how easily people can be duped into becoming "sheeple" if just one person can convince them he/she is the one with 'the answers'.
The acting and settings are solid, and I want to see what his end game is here, and how they work out the stories for the people he seemingly abandoned as well as who is behind it all.

Finished season 1 of Outlander. Man, the final episode was gut-wrenching. I had to fast-forward through some spots. Seeing a man physically and emotionally tortured and broken isn't something I need in my life.
