If they spent at least 1/5th of the time that inception spent on explaining things in Tenet it could be one of the great action movies. You're right it was very arbitrary.

Tenet was logically flawed, and I'm pretty sure the revised versions of the same scenes were re-films rather than being different perspectives of the same sequence.
Given that this is Nolan, and given that Inception was consistent on a timing basis, I'd have expected Tenet to be shot in as much of one take as possible.
Meanwhile, I just watched Glass Onion, which was extremely logically consistent.Originally posted by Koenig39Okeh zhentlemain, we well commonce spe-cial operashun "Surraindair" at four-dirty. Avatar Water in HFR EMAX 8.5/10
High frame rate was jarring at times but boy did it work for the underwater scenes.

Amsterdam. 8.2/10. Great characters, lots of great acting from tons of great actors, including Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, the guy from Tenant, . Nice to see them throw in Mike Meyers and Chris Rock. Story can be a bit sentimental & ham-fisted at times, and the storytelling is sometimes a bit jarring and disjointed. There's some plot threads that seem to have been left awkwardly dangling. Overall good movie, but falls short of being great.Originally posted by KACTo be honest I never even found doom 3 to be scary since I have a big dick since birth.

Everything Everywhere. This is really good and unique (even though they take so much from other movies, and many things are not explained, it doesn't really matter in the end!). The acting is PHENOMENAL. Really really solid, and I find multiverse movies often way too cheesy and/or boring.Originally posted by KACGays if I had boyfriends your mums wouldn’t have produced your sorry asses.

Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll - 6.5/10. I dunno it came across as a super long episode from the series but there were episodes from the series that packed a bigger punch than this movie. The artwork was a slight step above the series but then again a lot of people thought the series had pretty darn good art to begin with.

Avatar Water People. 9/10. Great film, definitely better than the first. Very smart decisions taking the story to the water environment, meeting the native people there, learning a new culture, etc. Smart way to keep up the theme from the first movie, of being a fish-out-of-water having to learn to integrate into a foreign culture.
I really enjoyed most of it, especially that the film allows many scenes to play out as long as they need to. Especially the section where they're learning all the water skills, it's slow but perfectly paced, and I was riveted by every moment of that. The last battle goes on a bit too long... geez it must be an hour long, and Cameron should have exercised a bit more discipline in the editing.
Graphics really looked amazing, and there's an aweful lot of graphics. Nearly all of the characters are CGI, so yeah it's most of the run-time of the film. Action sequences look fabulous too. I watched the plain version of the film, not 3d or the high-fps versions. I'd love to see the high-fps version especially, I think the action sequences will really pop that way.
Can't wait to see the next film. Hopefully Cameron is smart about changing up the status-quo in the next film. You can't just bring back the same villains in the same capacities over and over again. I'd love to see the films eventually establish an uneasy peace between humans & navi, and start to tell some deeper stories than just the same old us vs. them. The best parts of Avatar have always been where you blend the native stuff with the modern, I hope they lean more and more into that.Originally posted by KACTo be honest I never even found doom 3 to be scary since I have a big dick since birth.

Violet Evergarden the Movie - 7/10. When the movie started off referencing one of the strongest episodes in the series I was thinking it better deliver compared to the previous movie and I wasn't disappointed. It's hard to rate this one as while they give you all the background you needed as a standalone you'd still be missing the depth of the motivations of some of the characters if you didn't go through all 13 episodes of the series plus that other movie. So I rated it as a standalone but if you've seen all the previous I'd add a point.

Watched Glass Onion (Netflix). Well, it was ok'ish i'd say. Strange to see Mr. Craig trying to fit into another role than Bond. Lots of "stars" doesn't make a good movie though. It was what i'd call "light entertainment". I'll give it a very generous 6/10

Glass onion was too predictable. I knew the ending in the first 5 mins. I knew who was the protagonist and antagonist. Only difference was a spanner they threw mid way w/ a particular person's twin. But post that, there was no mystery. Unlike the first one which actually had more story and I was genuinely confused about the whodunit!
Heck when in a movie they themselves had to say that the answer was so simple - yeah that means they really screwed the pooch.

The Menu - A lot of people have been recommending this one lately. It's pretty good.
Significant Other - Short horror/sci-fi movie. Not amazing, but decent. The first half hour is a bit slow with some drama and a few cheap jump scares. It picks up after that.
