This was sorta payback to wifey for being a good sport and trying and continuing to see sci-fi. The first 20 mins of this was cringe-worthy but it ended up being halfway decent.
They should have given Julia Roberts and George Clooney flamethrowers.
Yip. Watched it with the gf. Agreed.

Watched Spirited (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10999120/). -99/10. . First a musical, and I don't like Ryan Reynolds "witty" characters anymore. He is the same fast mouth, one liner , witty character in all his movies. I just can't watch his movies anymore... same character over and over. And they sing SO fcking much in this movie. The gf's daughter watched it , and I wanted to shoot myself.

Black Adam - 6/10 Was entertaining but yea superhero movies are starting to get old after how many years.

The Invitation - 6/10 Also another OK entertaining horror flick.

Ticket to Paradise - 5/10 One for the ladies.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. 8.5/10. Lots of great Nicholas Cage stuff. Very fun, very meta. Well worth a watch.

Am up to Roger Moore’s end of Bond films. Finished for your eyes only and it was one of the less enjoyable ones.

          Will watch Octopussy next.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. 6/10 was ok, a bit OTT

X 5/10 been done before and better. The olding up makeup of accress Mia Goth reminded me of Guy Pearce in Prometheous

Men 5/10 very overhyped and boring, surreal but i wasnt as shocked as the hype made it out to be

Absolutely beautiful stop motion film; emotionally destroyed me. Deals with loss and grief. 9.5/10

Yeah, it was a big let-down, although there was some fun to be found in it. imo, Sony REALLY needs to nail this franchise, as they can make it an ongoing multi-billion dollar cash cow... but it's not going to work if they stick with the poor quality of the first film.

                              Nope . . . 7/10

Entertaining, but some of it didn't make sense. Expected a little more from Jordan Peele. Keke Palmer is great in this.

I also liked how they used the utterance of the word "nope" throughout the movie as sortova humorous callback to the title.

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

Didn't know Nolan directed it, and about 1/4 of the way through I thought "f*ck this really feels like a Nolan movie" lol. It was alright. Felt like a better version of inception (which I wasn't a huge fan of) even though it is very different.

The framerate switching within the same scene was quite jarring and not sure what the purpose of that was. Overall, good movie.

There's a fair amount of misdirection, and I think most people didn't get what was really going on, but it's still watchable. his wife Did get out with her suicide. HE is the one that's stuck. ARIADNE is actually his wife incepting him, trying to figure out how to get him to leave. Lots of clues to that effect once you start looking for them. . I think inception is genius.

And ultimately in the back of my head I am feeling like he wasn't following the rules he laid out. I just didn't care enough to try to dissect it, unlike inception.
