It's at least worth a try man, I initially thought wtf to trying it a few years ago and once it entered my mouth it was honestly one of the best things I had ever tasted.

I even liked the Star Wars sequence. Made tons of money so you'd think a sequel is inevitable but they beat the SU 57, the top foreign adversary made fighter theres nothing left for them to overcome... well cept maybe drones.

Yeah I didn't love that part.
I mean, they spent so much time explaining to us just how technologically advance that fighter was. So, I imagine, that fighter would have known that there was a ****ing U.S. aircraft carrier battlegroup nearby.
But let's pretend that it doesn't. When it's coming up behind the F-14 at the end, gets missile lock, and then suddenly explodes, it seems like that goes against literally everything they established earlier. This thing should have at least realized that there was an F-18 coming up on it.
What they SHOULD have done was that it was lining up for a knock out shot on the F-14 when suddenly the IFF radar picks up SEVERAL F-18s approaching. And at that point, we get a scene with the entire strike group in the air not just that one guy. They literally spent the entirety of the first half of the movie explaining to us how Maverick was turning these individual hot shots into a "team" so at the very end we should've had the entire team coming out to rescue Rooster and Maverick.

Ya agree.
they were just offshore the enemy state so obviously had good radar cover and those new fighters are very well networked... They should have had the tomahawks hit all the main radar sites to make it more believable. Which is what they would do in real life. Had to turn the brain off a bit there seeing the old F14 claim 2 5th gen fighters. Movie chokes it off as as who is the better pilot... Like they would put newbs in a pricey rare SU 57. 5th gen dont come in close for a kill most times with their modern long range AESA radars. Add an 'Super' Electronic Warfare angle there also likely in the scenario... And F14 was a dog at dogfighting. Heavy and mostly a missile platform. I guess I just liked the overall quality of the popcorn film tho.
Nope: Nope out of 10 but its kind of cool where he got his ideas for the 'alien. Very old classic ufo notion.

it was SO obvious iceman 2.0 was going to swoop in and save them, i literally could have closed my eyes, covered my ears, and counted down to the moment they are going to be saved. when it is that obvious, I don't even know if it matter too much HOW they get saved or by how many other fighters. Actually, no you're right. It would have been cooler to see the whole squadron or whatever BECAUSE we are expecting just ice-bag to come.
AGAIN though, lol, by far the weakest part of it for me is how easily he was able to steal an F-18. What are they parked out back next to the lawn mowers? I *blink* and he's in the air in an unauthorized fighter jet that's worth millions. Can anyone just steal one? WUT. just so jarring and stupid

Goldeneye. Still one of the best. What a debut for Pierce / 10.
Goldeneye is still my favorite. Part of it is that I was 15 when I saw it in the theater... these things have their maximum impact when you're a teenager. But part of it is just that it's a damn good film. It really stands the test of time, and I prolly rewatch it every year.

The Batman (2022). That must've been the most boring superhero movie i've ever seen. Terrible all around. 1/10
I thought it was better than I was expecting, but TBH I wasn't expecting much.
The Nolan Batman's are still the best IMO but this one was decent. It had a certain atmosphere and tone that I did like, and the Nirvana song really worked well in it which was a surprise.
I was thinking after watching, I'd love for them to somehow make a sequel that ties in Joaquin Phoenix's Joker. I think it would work well.
Actually the whole movie is amazing levels of stupid. They keep trying to kill Bond but fail miserably every 20 mins of movie time. However, the visuals and gadgets and story is very strong on its own and somehow they have an explanation not to kill bond every time.

let's put it this way: The atmosphere was indeed good, but the main cast not. With another actor it could've been decent.
Sorry, but i really can't stand Mr. Glitter Vampire, I simply can't.
As for Joaquin, yes, he would fit very well in a dark, gritty version of Batman which is what i really would like to see.

I thought it was the best Batman yet. Looking forward to the sequel.
Not sure I would call it "the best Batman yet", but I thought it was a fresh take on the character, and I'm looking forward to seeing where they go next with the series.

as for the "series":
According to a report by the film website Deadline.com, The Batman is to be the first film in a trilogy about the character Batman. A second part with director Matt Reeves was officially announced in April 2022.
HBO Max developed two spin-off series for the film: one series about the Gotham City Police Department (GCPD) and the other about the penguin. The first series was to be told from the point of view of a corrupt GCPD policeman and set in the first year of Batman – i.e. before The Batman; however, the project was stopped in March 2022. The series about the penguin is supposed to show the mafia career of the character.

I would give it a 7 if it wasn't for Christian Bale who utterly chewed the scenery and stole every scene. +2 for Bale.
Just a few minutes in when he said his daughter died it felt like Bale personally ripped my heart out and curb stomped it. The MCU doesn't deserve him.

Esp after the disaster that was strange 2, how anyone can expect anything passable from here on out is beyond me… by the reviews here seems like this was way better than strange 2 tho.

I was expecting a lot more. The best way I can think of to summarize the movie, is that Christian Bale deserved a much better supporting cast for his effort.
Russell Crowe’s older brother (Because there is no way in H.E. Doubletoothpicks this is the same Crowe that was Maximus the Gladiator) was just awful. Embarrassing to watch even.
