No Man of God
It's about FBI profiling. Specifically, talking with Ted Bundy.
Not a movie for everybody. About 3/4 of the movie is the two leads just talking to each other in an interrogation room.
But it might be worth checking out if you were into that TV series Mindkiller. Although, the TV series was better.

The Bat: 6-10
Man that was long. Works a bit as a noir but not much else. Some odd overlong scenes like the bike riding. Farrell as Penguin is unrecognizable.
I get that they saw DC work as dark mature films after Joker. But that works partly because it wasnt so darn long. I wish it had been more of that vibe. Not having Phoenix in the next film playing J wont help.I talked to the tree. Thats why they put me away!..." Peter Sellers, The Goon Show

Pluses are good overall acting, a plot that was credible, enhancing Martha Wayne's backstory.
Minuses are overly long by 30-45 min, music was forgettable, Pattinson was better than I though he would be but he's no Bale nor Affleck BUT he didn't need to be as a younger version of the character maybe?

The Batman - 7.5/10 decent but pretty long and flat at times. Too worried about style at times but I prefer this to the bale movies. I liked the bat and the cat stuff, needed more of that.
Uncharted - 6/10 Meh. Not terrible but had nothing on the games. The characters are just a little off, the action feels clumsy, it's not that funny, the main treasure hunt is kinda bleh. They should have just copied uncharted 1 (mutated nazis included), instead of this weird uncharted 4-3-2 blend we got.

Rewatched Dune on HBO Max after having seen it at the theater last December. I think I enjoyed it more this time.
Rewatched The Hangover also on HBO Max, for the first time since its release in 2009. I didn't remember much so it held up really well.
Everything and Nothing, Professor Jim Al-Khalili's documentary about how we, over several centuries, have gained understanding of the structure of the universe as a whole (everything) and its interplay with the science of vacuums, voids, and empty space (nothing). I love his stuff and this one might be his best. You can find it on Prime as the first episode of "Quark Science," which has a couple of his his other ones, too. Also on Prime is his three part exploration of the history of our taming of electricity, Shock and Awe.When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

Spooder Man No Way Home - Interesting nostalgia trip. And Dafoe hamming the **** out of things in glorious fashion.
Inside - Got damn, Bo has some bops in this one. And all varying amounts of soul crushing if you take in the lyrics.
Oh yeah, also rewatched Rogue One. Such a good movie. Also best Star Wars film in years and effectively a war film. Wish they'd do more like it. The Vader scene is *chef's kiss* Turns into a mini horror movie when the lightsaber kicks on and he turns into an absolute meat grinder through the hallway.Last edited by YellowBeard; Apr 30, 2022, 03:28 PM.“On a lonely planet spinning its way toward damnation amid

Rewatched Star Trek: First Contact. 7.5/10. Actually I think this film has aged better than I expected. It's pretty slow in the middle, but actually does several interesting story beats that have aged reasonably well. Exploring Zefram Cochrane's first warp drive test, and making first contact with the Vulcans, for example. Also some interesting development for Data's emotion chip, and some interesting characterization of the Borg Queen. Also, Patrick Stewart is in surprisingly good shape for this film, and is uncharacteristically hunky actually.
One missed opportunity though: Alot of the film revolves around the borg slowly assimilating the enterprise and crew, and that the borg adapt very quickly to phasers, which are apparently the only weapon the crew knows how to use. There's a few parts where we see Picard find clever ways to kill borg though. There's a scene where he has borg follow him into the holodeck and then he uses a hologram tommy gun to blow them away... it would have been fun to explore that idea more, that borg adapt to future weapons like phasers, but maybe they're susceptible to old-style kinetic weapons, so have the crew construct make-shift shotguns or projectile weapons. There's another scene where Picard is doing a space-walk on the outside of the ship, his phasers don't work against the borg, so he shoots something under the borg's feet, and there's like a compressed air explosion that blows the borg out into space. It would have been fun for them to really double-down on that idea though... sortof a Home Alone story. I'd love to see Picard hang a paint bucket from the ceiling and nail a borg in the face with it... then Picard should make a fist and say "Yessss!"Originally posted by KACTo be honest I never even found doom 3 to be scary since I have a big dick since birth.

Bubble Netflix 6.5/10. It's a parkour anime showing off the animation chops of Wit studios with some backing from Warner Bros. It's beautiful yes but the story was standard with some sentimental philosophical mumbo jumbo to give it heart? One of those turn off the mind and just enjoy the spectacle kinda shows.Last edited by dodger; May 1, 2022, 04:55 PM.

Wwatched Red Notice on netflix
Entertaining, but nothing particularly great about it.
Just a by the numbers heist flick with some absurdity mixed with trying to be too real at times.
I'd say 6.5/10------Squachbox 2022------

5/10
It was very predictable, American Chavez horrible character. The ending is meh.
